Someone should make an IRC chat room for this . . . or something!!! I need people to talk to in real time . .

I would, but as soon as I open my IRC client, it'll join a few channels that could possibly give me spoilers.

I just got a call from my dad about a specific Apple product and something that happened this morning (before the keynote), and what he told me is funny. I consider this story non-spoiler-ific because there are no specifications, but it does have to do with a specific product.

I was going to post the story here, but seeing as it talks about a specific product (so by definition is not 100% spoiler-free) I decided it is not worth it. But, if you would like to hear this humorous story that is 95% spoiler-free, PM me and I will tell it to you. (I am doing this not only to spread the humor, but also to pass the time...)

Had a tiny peek at the quicktime guide - no live feed as of yet, it appears. I'm not checking again though, it really scared me

oh ok, it would usually be on the homepage at the bottom on either of the corners, thats where they were for previous keynotes. but thanks anyway;)

Oh, okay. Well, I don't dare go to the main site :)

However, I expect that it'll be posted to ./quicktime/qtv/wwdc08/ since 06 and 07 had a similar naming scheme.

Right, i'm guessing that the apple homepage has WWDC on it at the moment. If the feed is live, it should have a button below it that says watch the keynote now. Can someone monitor that? Thanks

It's good to be somewhere everyone is in the dark. It's strange, because the people on this page are usually ahead of the curve, but I've got a total media blackout. If something huge happens somewhere in the world, a heads up would be great (hah).

But really, watching the keynotes is SO much better than updates 5 blogs continously.

Man, my Apple RSS folder is up to 11 articles (which includes a number of RSS feeds, including both the UK and US Hot News Feeds, so it's no spoiler).

It's been sneaking up since the Keynote started. The temptation is so great...

if apple have a standard way of naming and uploading keynotes we can prob find the link ourselvs before it becomes available on the site

My TUAW RSS has 17 unreads and MacRumors has 6 according to Safari... I won't even check Leo Laport's Twittr, just in case.

EDIT: thirty seconds after I posted this, GrowlSafari tells me: 19 TUAW, 8 MacRumors, 2 Leo Laport Tweets.

Last year it took until early the next morning for apple to post the video because of issues with the site. If it exists, it will be on akamai - but good luck figuring out the naming scheme for that. I'd post the link for others to look at, but those skimming the page may misinterpret it as a link for today's keynote. Do a google search for "wwdc 2007 spoiler free" and click on the top link - macrumors - if you are interested in working on figuring it out. It's a time killer.
