would it have been to hard for apple just to stream the thing..

that depends. It could be that there are too many people to stream everything from Apple's servers, and too few for distributed services like Octo (used effectively for Eurovision)

I went to BBC webpage to check Euro 2008 scores and Boom! (hah!) there it was .. news headline regarding WWDC .. now who would have thought!

anyway .. still waiting for it .. will be watching it in bed tonight

No, YOU should be lucky you life in one of the greatest countries on earth.... my ancestoral homeland! LOL. I was born in Minnesota.. It's like the capitol of "American Scandinavia"..

I feel like us 30-something people who have posted in this thread are the only people left alive on this planet. But it's ohhhh so worth it!

And it sounds like some of us need a holiday from work to watch the Stevenote.

yes, but I guess I have too much faith in BBC's editors, I thought WWDC can't possibly make it to the top 3 front page headlines when there's been and earthquake in Greece, Soldiers killed in Afghanistan and a policeman dead during training in Manchester ..
