It be nice but he really does not need to. Even in the background Steve is well informed. I rather he not stress himself or his health just to do day to day work that is not as important as it seems. Apple is a mature company so Steve does not need to be dealing with every little thing going on.

If we do only get widgets in the pull-down notification screen that's a bit useless!
I want widgets in-line with my other app icons or on their own dedicated springboard home-screen so I can unlock the phone and see those widgets right away, up to date, with the latest tidbits from Facebook and Twitter... even though most of said tidbits are total waste of my time. Also 3rd party apps should be able to be/have widgets.
I'm excited for this announcement, but I'm also preparing myself for dissapointment (as we always should with these events, Apple's idea of amazing new things that we really need sometimes are just a bit rubbish to be honest and the stuff we really wanted doesn't happen)

New iphone will have its own presentation with huge media buildup, not today. It's not ridiculous that no one is expecting new hardware today as WWDC is a software/developer conference.
"What? Everyone needs a brand spanking new (expensive) Time Capsule to use iCloud and even then it will only allow you to stream music that you have purchased from iTunes?"
Covered sign= one more thing=TV app store?
it would make sense since this show seems to be only about software and this would be a perfect opportunity to talk to developers about that.

As for the WWDC keynote, I'm excited, but I'm not sure what I'm excited about. I mean, I'll definitely use Lion, iOS 5, and probably iCloud (we'll see), but I don't really know what about them is getting me excited currently. Oh well, only an hour left till it starts.
