Anyone else thinks that Apple is readying the merger between iOS and MacOSX, at last?

I certainly hope not. I hate this merging of a phone OS with a real one. If that really happens (and I doubt it will anytime soon) I would jump back to Windows land and enjoy my new Apple gadgets for recreation.

maybe also some Sandy Bridge Macbook Air's ?? :D:apple:

I'd prefer to see them released before that like in April....

Im looking forward to the future of iOS.

If its good enough, I might even unjailbreak, still running 4.2.1 here, Ill miss it though, infinifolder, custom lockscreen, custom sounds.

Hopefully an iOS 5 Jailbreak will release soon after.

you realise you contradicted yourself?

"I hope iOS 5 is good enough that ill unjailbreak"

"I hope once iOS 5 is out there is a jailbreak soon after"

lols?

From the graphic announment it is pretty clear what OS is now the focus of ACE (Apple Consumer Eletronics).

ACE should drop all pretense and rename WWiOSDC:mad:

lol so you're totally ignoring that it also says Mac OS and that the Mac App Store also has icons like the iOS app store just so you can bitch about iOS again? didn't know it was time for your conspiracy theories again, we only had one just before the weekend...

Magic Eye?

I keep looking at the WWDC '11 image with the rows of applications like one of those Magic Eye images that were big back in the 90's.

I could never see the damn images then, so I'm of no use in this hunt, but perhaps better trained Magic Eye viewers are out there...

subliminal message?

Maybe its just me, but when i watched a rather small version of the invitation banner, it looked like there was a "Q" and a "3", drawen with icons.. or what?

Ok, maybe im crazy, but i dunno :)

Your WWDC 2011 Conference Ticket is now active and you are registered to attend the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, June 6-10, 2011 at Moscone West in San Francisco, CA.

Can't wait :)

I think he;s going by the fact that iOS is mentioned before Mac OSX in the add.

As someone earlier posted, I suppose those of us that use Apple computers as tools and not as a fashion item should just be grateful it is mentioned at all.

Let me attempt to translate the intention there:
If iOS 5 has enough new features, it will be worth giving up some of these jailbreak features that I really like. That being said, I hope that I don't have to make a choice between iOS 5, and a jailbreak for too long.

Question for folks who have gone (or purchased ticket voucher). From the looks of it, you buy a voucher, which you then redeem online for a ticket, correct? Can you buy the voucher now, but fill in the attendee ticket details at a later time? I'm going to buy, but there's the off chance I won't be able to attend, so I'd like to give the ticket to someone else. The ticket holder needs photo ID to get in, so they obviously can't use my ticket. So I'd have to wait until I know for sure to claim the voucher, or put the other developer's information in.

Can that be done? Or do I need to claim the ticket at time of purchase? Based on the recent track record of WWDC selling out in a week, I'd like to make the purchase ASAP. Thanks.

Did anyone else notice the font used on the invitation is not Lucida Sans?

Do you recognize it?

Yes. I got mine this morning, and buying a ticket is separate from activating it. After you buy, you'll get a link to activate it, and you could forward that link to someone else if you can't go. Once one person activates it, however, it becomes non-transferable.

OS X and iOS are both going to grow very strong in 2011, previewed in depth at WWDC, rollouts later 3rd/4th qtrs. 2011 will indeed see real solidification of each's collaborative strengths.

Look at the device in your hand, or your lap/desktop, right now. These are good times to be alive

that's even worse!! lol being picky about what's said first in a line?!?! so by that mentalilty if they were switched, would he then complain about Mac OS being the focus of Apple from now on? it's absurd to judge something like that just from a sentance like that. they have to have one before the other, it seems alphabetical, thats it.

Very happy about iOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion, i'm guessing MobileMe will also be revamped as well in the conference.

But, i can't believe Hardware won't be previewed this time. I was hoping to see some nice new iMacs with Lion, but more importantly iPhone 5. Hoping for an earlier launch date.

Sold out in less than half a day.

And Google IO sold out in less than an hour (but costs less that a third as much, minus airfare).

Mobile development is becoming like a wild land rush.
