I have the opposite. Google is better at knowing where I want to go if I just type in a name. Apple is better at getting me to a location.

I wish that was the case. I’m in Northern Colorado and google maps seems to get me there faster and know exactly where I want to go. If I was in a more dense place I’d probably never touch another google product.

How great would it be if there was a public beta right away.

You definitely want to wait for beta 2 at least. The first beta of macOS last year couldn’t even be installed on an external drive. It went through the install process, then crashed on boot, forcing a hard restart.

As I said, i'm glad it finally got to you guys. The home screen being the exact same pretty much since ios 1 is what drove me to Switch to Windows Phone. A small degree of customization can make people love their phone that much more!
