Exactly. Not everyone has Steve Jobs's ability to present live. This lets them record multiple takes to get it right.

What would be the useful applications for spacial audio locked to device movement? Maybe a game could use it but I don't know what else it would be useful for.

Apple’s Notes app currently recognizes handwriting.

It's like a firehose though. It's hard to keep up if you're note taking or commenting here.
