The Apple-centric pundits are eating it up. Yet we still don’t have a reason why this product exists. It’s tech for the sake of it, for showing off, not for solving problems.

This thing isn't perfect, but it's amazing.
probably can wear continuously at least 2 hrs before feeling sick
two hours of battery life, yikes. and you still have to find somewhere to keep the pack to make sure it's not hanging off your head lol
Yes. It's actually still slightly positive for the day. But this product's success or failure will be measured over the long term. These are expensive and clunky devices as a category. Will this or its successors want to make enough people buy them to make the category worthwhile?
One things for sure...this makes Facebook's Metaverse look like a SNES

It IS impressive technology. Whether anyone wants to buy it is a different story. We'll see. If Angela Ahrendts or Jonny Ive were still around I'm sure they'd have paid more attention to the exterior design.
The important question is the price... If it's too much it's definitely DOA.

I’ve used the HoloLens before and it worked well and was nice but I would never buy one for myself. This falls in the same category for me.
The seats aren't wide enough to account for flailing arms 😂 (But I agree it looked cool on the plane.)
