I have to wonder if someone will utilize Vision Pro for remote control of other devices? example flying a drone.
How will it be worse? I've been waiting decades for a decent HMD with flying being the most obvious use case. 90% of travelers are just watching TV anyway, why not an imax sized TV, no hunching over a laptop, etc. Seems like it's better in every way
except it looks better done. The tech looks amazing, but the app examples are basically identical to everything we've already seen with existing VR headsets. Still haven't seen a single novel use case.
I don't always like the Verge but I can't wait until Nilay Patel craps all over this. The Apple-centric pundits are eating it up. Yet we still don’t have a reason why this product exists. It’s tech for the sake of it, for showing off, not for solving problems.
Apple fanboys when they get features android had for years. The Apple-centric pundits are eating it up. Yet we still don’t have a reason why this product exists. It’s tech for the sake of it, for showing off, not for solving problems.
Imagine working out having Vision Pro on.
Apple's MO. They do something that already exists but better.except it looks better done.
Someone on this thread mentioned that they can be had for scuba goggles for around $20, so I doubt it would be that much more for this. Guessing $100. And duh, your insurance won't cover it.This requires prescription lenses for those of us with glasses.
Good luck getting insurers to cover the cost. They will say this is a luxury and not necessary.
And how about those of us with different vision in both eyes?
Exactly. Same as any other 1st-Gen revolutionary Apple product. Clunky and expensive af, but elegant and with extreme potential from the get-go. Competitors are wetting their collective panties rn. This thing is, if not five years ahead of the competition, at least two or three. This thing isn't perfect, but it's amazing.
