I see the future of this. In another 5 years, my guess is everyone will have one. The rich can have the early versions (like phones and powerful computers). I’m excited, and will watching this progress because it is big. Holy cows.

How will it be worse? I've been waiting decades for a decent HMD with flying being the most obvious use case. 90% of travelers are just watching TV anyway, why not an imax sized TV, no hunching over a laptop, etc. Seems like it's better in every way

Exactly! ……this will be ubiquitous on airplanes in a few years, this thing is gonna be huge

If you aren’t looking at this and thinking of future possibilities -practical and creative - within 10 years, step aside while the creatives take over.

I guess this is kind of the next step on from people walking down the street with their head buried in their phones. They can bump into people while busy reading and email or watching a film. Those can't wait phone calls are going to take on a whole new meaning too!

Does Apple expect everyone to walk around with this on their face? Or just stay in their homes? Did they say how much this thing weighs and how it feels after a while on your face? Is it something you can wear for long periods of time without it bothering you?

I really think the best application for Vision Pro is in collaborative design/teaching. Some people just learn easier seeing things. Imagine taking Organic Chemistry class with visual explanations.

This requires prescription lenses for those of us with glasses.

Good luck getting insurers to cover the cost. They will say this is a luxury and not necessary.

And how about those of us with different vision in both eyes?
Someone on this thread mentioned that they can be had for scuba goggles for around $20, so I doubt it would be that much more for this. Guessing $100. And duh, your insurance won't cover it.

This thing isn't perfect, but it's amazing.
Exactly. Same as any other 1st-Gen revolutionary Apple product. Clunky and expensive af, but elegant and with extreme potential from the get-go. Competitors are wetting their collective panties rn. This thing is, if not five years ahead of the competition, at least two or three.
