Think iPad, you didn't have an iPad to test on, it was a virtual OS.
This is actually what I expect. Same 'ol, same 'ol.According to mupltiple sources (9to5mac etc.) iOS6 will not be a major update with many new features. It'll be a very much tweaked version of IOS5 with new re-designed apps and Facebook integration. So, don't expect any major changes to the OS.
Aww, you should think positive. Apple might still support it for some odd reason
Wow another row of apps. How inventive. How revolutionary.
I hope Apple makes improvement to notifications. Android has iOS beat there.

Isn't it entirely plausible that Apple keep the 960x640 resolution but make the pixels ever so slightly bigger for the bigger screen size?
That way they wont have to tell us anything on Monday as apps will be just the same.
Hmm, dunno, looking forward to Monday though! It's just a pain having to wait till 9PM (UK time) before the keynote gets put up on the website.

the icon of iOS 6 screams "Retina"
There are things that Android does better. Doesn't mean it's a better mobile OS overall. But I hope Apple has more in store for us than Facebook integration and re-designed store apps. That would be pretty underwhelming.Lmao. Ok buddy
Is battery life the reason Apple doesn't have widgets? Before my iPhone I had an HTC with Froyo and the battery life was absolute crap. When I took it to AT&T they basically told me to remove all my widgets to save my battery life. But that was 2 years ago.For sure. It's pathetic in this day and age. I want at a glance the weather, clander, new subscribed podcasts, music, rss feeds etc.
There's really no excuse to dismiss it with a major update.
Save your woeful attempts at sarcasm until AFTER the keynote.
Ok so what are the expectations for iOS 6 besides new map app and Facebook integration?
1) facebook
2) map
3) developer tool kit with Facebook integration codes and rules
4) multiple account login
5) widgets right panel view on swipe
6) interactive notification sistem (it will be able to answer sms without entering to app as a sample)
7) automatic close background apps timer setting (5.15,30mins and never)
8) icloud manager app (the Apple way of file managing on iOS)
9) idevelope app (an app that let you continue work with an app code designing with previewing options - just for registered developers)
10) ilife suite comes integrated as in Macs
Water in the background? Am I the only one seeing the submerged 6 with a periscope sticking out?
Must mean something...
1) facebook
2) map
3) developer tool kit with Facebook integration codes and rules
4) multiple account login
5) widgets right panel view on swipe
6) interactive notification sistem (it will be able to answer sms without entering to app as a sample)

They'll call them "the new iPhone" and "iPhone (2012)" or "iPhone (6th Generation)". They've already solved this 'problem' with their refurbished macs and iPods.
WATER RIPPLES??? What does it mean??
Not exactly. The 'early 2011' etc monikers are part of the official name of sorts, the same as they use for service guides etc. However this isn't part of their market name and are not advertised as such as this when launched, yeah they use them in the refurb store, but they aren't going to have splashed on their mainpage buy the revolutionary iPhone (2012).
I think the whole let's just call them new iPhone or new iPad or new iMac is great, however I do think it's a bit of an issue when the old models are still being sold side by side. "Yeah I just bought a new iPad", "oh is that the new one with the blah blah?", "oh no, this is the old iPad that was the new iPad, but now it is just the iPad","so you haven't got the iPad (2013)?", "well it is a new one, it just isn't the new one", "so which one is it then?", "it's a new one, just not the THE new one", "oh right, hey have you heard the rumors about that new one?".

To my opinion it's time for Apple to innovate a little bit in iOS, there are many things that can be better..
I really hope you are very wrong.
But to be honest,m this is exactly what I'm expecting from iOS6
No new ideas, no listening to users, no radical rethinks, no wow features.
Just same old, same old, but we've added a few bits under the hood and done some tweaks.
Yawn
It's hardly REALLY changed since the 1st iPhone launched in any "in your face" way.

The water in the background of '6' conveys some subtle information about the next iOS. A new Wallpaper? A new water-like interface?
