Yes, but you can buy a "Family Pack" of 3 (5?) licenses for MUCH cheaper.

With the drastic reduction in required space I doubt.

We're getting lucky that the hardware margins are so good. $29 for the 10.6 upgrade feels a lot like the 10.1 one. At least in terms of the price.
