WWDC - No iMacs, but Yes Displays?

Apple has stopped taking orders for the current iMac as we begin the transition from the current iMac line to an all-new iMac line which will be announced an available in September.
We planned to have our next generation iMac ready by the time the inventory of current iMacs runs out in the next few weeks, but our planning was obviously less than perfect.
We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers"

So I guess that means Apple will only have the eMac for the summer buying season for Educational customers. That can't be great for the third quarter numbers...

Wow, this is rather unfortunate, but at least we now know why there were no new iMacs announced on Monday. I wonder if the current models in stores will be discounted as a result since this is essentially saying that the entire G4 iMac line has been discontinued.

I wouldn't expect any big discounts - this is saying that the supply is limited and demand is already way above supply.

well,i just hope for the G5 iMac ,really by september,but right now i dont have any clue as to what might happen apple has been hiding many things lately regarding the iMac,at least that what is looks like to me,i just hope it'll be a good g5 processor
