Wouldn't putting one of their phones into every person living in China make them larger than Apple? Not sure on current population numbers.
This is almost an impossible goal to hit. The current population in China alone is $1.4 billion

I'm sure the US Gov pull all stops out again to halt competition with US corporations as they had done against Huawei and other non-US companies, if it gets to close for their comfort.

They invented the modern smartphone. The phone landscape changed drastically overnight after the iPhone was introduced. So in a way, they shaped the industry.
That’s an entirely different claim (and a lot closer to reality, although I don’t 100% agree with that either).

It is bad enough that Apple assembles its outstanding products in China but a Chinese phone whose moto is “ a war of life or death”! We should wake up.

The more a speaker is using his hands in an atypical way, the more he doesn't believe his own words and is FOS.

So they iterated on the smartphone then.

They made a really good phone, but that’s not inventing the smartphone category.
There's iteration, there's evolution and then there's revolution. Apple's original iPhone was nothing like the existing phones at the time other than they both accessed cellular networks. How many phones do you see out there with physical keyboards running WAP browsers these days? Pretty much as close to zero as you can get.

I miss my Palm Centro with Touchstone…it was like living in the future.

Edit: I think it was a Pre actually, not Centro.

Palm (and Handspring), BlackBerry were all such neat devices for the time. Apple arguably improved the packaging (some still prefer physical keyboards), and smartphone capabilities have come a long way thanks to new apps, etc. but the early smartphones and PDAs did feel more "futuristic". I guess AR/VR is the future of today.

hahaha. he must be daydreaming smoking too much weed. The only android phone that is comparable to apple is samsung.

This comment will get me no fans here I bet but I think Apple can make an iPhone with a killer physical keyboard and it would sell like a mad. The keyboard on the Pixi was pretty good.

I notice you didn’t use the one word I actually disputed - invention.
