You do realize that many people will be on the iPhone Upgrade Program and will, therefore, be incentivized to make such an early upgrade, right?

Man if I had a nickel for every idiot post that mentions being in a program lol. The vast majority is. It’s nothing new (it’s called financing). But but you don’t understand. I’m in THE PROGRAM. Lol.

To be honest, the 11 Pro is a mess with iOS 13.1 I have a X and am seriously considering taking a $50 hit from Verizon and bringing my 11Pro back. BTW, the X has better reception than the past 2 years models. Apple is seriously starting to suck.

The last two cycles Apple went with Intel only modems. Maybe your iPhone X has a Qualcomm modem and, in your particular reception area or mobile operator, it makes a difference

I’m so surprised by this thread!

XS to 11 Pro users, and XS Max to 11 Pro Max users.

Everyone talks crap in the surface, saying the 11 Pro/11 Pro Max being terrible devices and are not worth the upgrade.

but yet everyone seems extremely happy with the new 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

Was super tempted but after playing with it in the store and taking some photos with my friends Pro Max, I think I can hold out another year. Still feels and functions the same. Screen doesn’t look any different to me either. Battery life is a great selling point but I top off charge in my car on the road and have a battery backup on flights.

I carry a Sony RX100 V when i want to take photos other than food and cats anyway.

Looking forward to next year’s iphone!

I'm not surprised at all. It's just human nature to justify your own decisions. Even in the days leading up to launch day I was telling myself and everyone who would listen that the XS was perfectly fine and I was going to skip this year.

Now that I have my Pro, I'm happy with my decision to upgrade even though I haven't had much opportunity to shoot photos and I didn't really need a bump in battery life.

So it's not only just for the cameras, but also the much battery.

Deep fusion is not active yet, right?
Deep fusion is coming later in the fall.

Only did it for the battery life really, but the camera is a nice improvement too. I guess the CPU and GPU performance increases, although minimal, do make a tad bit difference too.

I will add that my signal strength is better. I would have to go by an outside door at work to place a call but I can place a call anywhere with my 11 Pro Max. I have a sister that wants my XS Max because she wants a new phone, but doesn’t want to pay. She wanted an 11 Pro Max but I bought another sister one because her screen on her 6 was delaminating.

Wow, $50 restocking fee. Last time I returned a phone to Verizon it was $35.
That’s why I only buy unlocked phones straight from the phone companies.

I also went from an XS to 11 Pro Max. Almost changed my mind as the 11 Pro max is quite a bit heavier than the XS but thought the battery, larger screen and cameras were worth it. Battery especially. It’s insane.

Took my phone off the charger at about 6.30am this morning. It’s had 5hrs 12 mins screen time today (lot of travelling and surfing ) and still has 44% battery at 10.10pm ! My old XS wouldn’t have even made it home today.

I can tell that FaceTime is also quicker but it’s a minor point really.

Was it worth the costs involved ? Probably for me since I spend so much time on it , but value / cost is relative to each person.

I went from an Xs max to a pro max.

Day to day, I haven’t noticed any difference. I always thought the Xs max was really snappy anyway! Feels the same speed wise, certainly doesn’t feel any faster. (How much faster can these phones get!)

Never had any issues with the Xs max battery, always lasted well over a day. The pro max is the same.

Form factor feels identical in the hand, I think the pro max is heavier and thicker but I can’t tell.

I honestly couldn’t say if the screen was better, looks the same to me!

Speakers are better quality definitely, sound really crisp. Stereos good and nice and loud!

Camera - yeah it’s really good. Love the wide angle lens. Not as blown away with night mode as other people seem to be although Ive not had a lot of opportunity to use it as yet. Off out this weekend so will hopefully give it a proper try then!

Love the green colour.

Overall I’m glad I upgraded, I really liked the Xs max and this feels like a refinement of that.

I upgraded from an XS Max to a 11 Pro Max. At first I tought "what have I done". I told myself that there must be a lot of worthy changes to upgrade. So after the presentation I had mixed feelings and I tought I will give it a shot and preordered it on 13th. As I was able to cancel my AC+ on my XS Max and sold it for a good price the price for the new one wasn`t that big.
Now after a few days of using I can say for me personally It was worth it. The battery is a beast and so the camera. I travel around a lot from Europe to Asia and my main Camera is my phone I don`t want to bring a DSLR. I am very happy about it. But If you are not a power User and don`t care about battery or camera a lot it is definitely not worth it. Speedwise the XS Max is still very speedy.

Honestly, everything seems better on the Pro max to me .... especially batter. Usually by 3pm my Sx max would be at 5% now the pro is at 75%! Unreal. The camera, zippiness, brightness. A ( I don’t give +) lol!

I’ve had mine almost a week, and it’s worth it coming from an Xs Max. The speed is noticeable, noticeable battery life increase, as well as the camera improvements and the screen. I do like that its chunkier, as it’s easier to hold. The matte back is great, no more smudging as I use it caseless.

Not even financing.
You finance to own.
The Apple iPhone Upgrade Program is more of a lease.

It is a zero interest loan for 24 months, after which you own the phone, there is no buy out option like a lease has....am I missing something? If you choose to trade in early for a new phone, then you have another 24 month contract if you are approved. A simple finance transaction.

I am upgrading both my wife's and my 10 xs max to the 11 Pro max. Not because we need to, but the better battery life is important and hopefully the camera will be better.

Main driving factor through is to get on Apple care for both. In the past, I've always declined, but after a friend of mine recently trashed his 10 xs max, costing him over $600 for a replacement through Apple, I figured it would be prudent.

I had an Xs and a spare 8+ that my spouse didn't like due to size. She has a company X iPhone, but wanted a personally owned one. So, I gave her my Xs and traded the 8+ for the 11 Pro. I do like the 11 Pro better due to the display and camera. as I was going to have to buy a phone for my spouse I decided not to wait to upgrade for next year‘s upper end iPhone.
