so what's everyone buying the slider or duo slider? im thinking about getting one each for me and my wife...both our phones have lucky labs spektra wraps and teksure skin on the back...thanks in advance!

For sure go with the duo if the extra couple bucks isn't a problem. The lock button alone makes it worth it but also personally I like the design better with the three holes rather than one thats just a sim cut out. (I would've prefered no cutouts at all though)

I got to be honest here. This is the second day with the case. I'm seeing 2-3 bars. Have yet to see a full 5 bars. Although I like the case and the overall look of my phone, not sure I can deal with the signal loss. Any ideas if my lucky labs back cover degrades signal at all?

No problem with me

Hey six8,

I don't seem to have a problem with the signal, been at 4 bars all day and tested the case just now, and i only lost -8 which is about .75 of a bar from what i read.

For my purchases,

I got a spectra wrap from Lucky Labs and wait for it...........a pearl white for my white iphone 4S and I GOT the lady a Crimson Red one! :)

Just got mine today, It is awesome!!

Alright I did the field test. Case on is -105. Case off -96

Around -9 dB Down, I think that it is not bad.

One advantage for Xtrucase over Vapor Pro white edition is docking on my iHome Space saver. I have to work on the dock support for Vapor Pro, not with this case, sweet!

Disadvantage (From End user experience)
1. Locking mechanism could scratch Back screen protector easily, careful when you take back slide off.
2. Liner pad on the right side of case was fall apart after install and remove several times.
3. Signal Distortion (from my case only)

I test using iPhone 4 white AT&T without any wraps along with *3001#12345#* command. I tried at least three times before make this conclusion.

Without case - Signal around -99 to -94 dB
Without case but "Death Grip" Situation - Signal around -116 to -113 dab
With Xtrucase - Signal around -118 to -114 dB
With Element Vapor Pro (With Good adjustment) - Signal around -105 to -96 dB

I think that my problem is pad on right side of case fall off which cause distance too thin to isolate between metal and also no pad around "Dead Grip" Position since I tried "Dead Grip" position, Result almost identical to with Xtrucase on.

I really like the look of Xtrucase, but I have to switch back to Vapor Pro white edition and try to solve Pad Problem before switch back to Xtrucase. I might contact support and ask for extra pad since it start to fall off since second time I put the case on. (If Xtrucase support can contact me via PM, it would be nice.)

Or anybody have any idea where to get pad sticker from retail store?

its weird that you lose that much signal even with the vapor pro, i haven't seen many say they lose that much signal with it. what version of the iPhone do you have?

I have iPhone 4 AT&T White with iOS 5.1.

I loss average around -5 dB which is barely noticed (signal bar not even drop). However for Xtrucase, it drop almost -15 dB which is one bar dropped - it is noticeable!!

Hey allapon,

we'll be happy to help fix the issue

I did a field test on my AT&T Black iPhone 4

-85 without case
-94 with case

I'm sure the 4S will fair better score since their antenna relocated

Please email sales@xtrucase.com and they will help you right away!

So does anyone think my lucky labs carbon fiber back cover sticker degrades signal?

I got both versions of the case in and they are pretty nice, I really like not having to mess with screws. here are a few pics I should have a fun review up in a few days.

Is that the matte graphite Duo? Damn that looks nice! Every time I think I've settled on a color, you guys go and post more pictures and make me seriously reconsider my decision. :)

It's the fake carbon fiber, right? It shouldn't affect signal at all, since it's on the back of the phone and is made out of 3M material. If you have the Tru Skin, though, it might affect your signal since it's actual carbon fiber.

Yeah it's fake.

Op, I'm loving the dark grey. I was about to buy that when I got the black

that is the graphite matte slider not the duo, the orange is the duo. the graphite matte feel and color are by far my favorite out of all of them, very nice finish and look.
