I'm getting a replacement sent out to me by Wednesday...But I am only doing this once. If the replacement is not considerably better, it is going back for a refund, and I will use my iPad 2 for a few months until reports of better screens are posted.
experiencing the same problem, perhaps.
Bought it in Hong Kong
4G 32GB Black AT&T (Week 8 Production)
still no way to exchange it since HK does not have the 4G models available yet
Really disturbing when surfing the net.
It looks dim and yellow
(Bottom left in landscape mode and Top Left in portrait mode)![]()
Would anybody mind having a look on my iPad? I believe it's very yellow or is it just the retina display making it look like this?

The one on the right looks to be more pink from the photos.
After all this crap, I am considering just getting a two and bein done with it. Save 300 dollars and not have a non uniform screen.
I found a 32 GB Verizon absolute mind condition iPad 2 with the in case magazine jacket for 500. That's 300 saved.
But I can't decide if I want to keep hassling with this crap for the retina display or not ...
Regardless of my decision do you think that 500 is a good deal for a perfect one with the magazine jacket?
I don't mind the yellow screen I mind when different sections of the screen are different colors.
I've opened 4 new iPads and they all have had problems.
I did this crap with my iMac last year going back and forth to the store. I don't want to do that with this. I'd rather have a uniform screen and save 300 dollars than deal with the headache of this crap.
The screen is gorgeous I know but it sucks we have to even be discussing this.
Trust me. The whole left side of mine is yellow and the right side looks pinkish.
It looks like crap and is super noticeable on the things that I do. Especially when I have the keyboard in normal mode, the left side of the keyboard is yellow and the right side is not.
That isn't right, and I'm not going to pay 800 dollars for something I'm not happy with. Trust me, I know it will be hard to use the old screen. But st least it will be uniformed color and won't look like splotchy crap.
Plus I will save 300 dollars. Maybe a couple months from now I will buy a new one again and see if the screens are any better.
This is my first iPad, but it seems like I've got the yellow tint issue too. I hope the images do it justice. They were taken at max brightness. In the images, the yellow-ish begins on the left (or iPad top). You can really tell when the keyboard is plit.
I've been using it since it was released and yesterday ramped it up to max brightness for a few hours after reading this might help. Do I need to worry about the tint never going away and exchange it or should this particular problem resolve itself? Thanks!

To be honest, I haven't seen a single iPad 3 that doesn't have that. I tried four myself, looked at half a dozen display models and checked a couple that family members had bought. All of them have the tinting. All. Of. Them.
People that say their iPad is "perfect" simply don't know what an LCD panel is supposed to look like. It's that simple.
Returning mine tomorrow. Tried to leave with it but no dice. The last straw was trying to read a book on it. It not yellow but colours kept switching from pink to green to white. Also there was a switch between bright and dull areas. Rinse repeat cycle. Simply not uniform and therefore...its sayonara.
Think thats it for me altogether as well. I'm not gonna get an iPad 2 after being exposed to a retina screen, and pretty much 95% of the existing batch of iPad 3s have problems so...just gonna get a refund and call it a day.
