My red one arrived today - it's a little less manly than it looks in the pictures - perhaps I should have gone for boring black. Smells fine, kinda like a new car. It does feel slightly slimy right enough. It's certainly soft - I'd have liked it a bit firmer - maybe I'm just used to the switch easy canvas I had on my iPad 2. It'll do the job - I may give it to the wife if I buy her an iPad though.

Thanks for your info. I just found at I will go for an iSmart version of Yoobao case as it looks a bit more functional to me with folding smart cover. but I think the magnets will be similar in both versions of the cases.

Same case with more bends in the cover - personally, I find the smart cover styles too awkward to hold, but your mmv.

didnt like that case the additional folds are a pain and the stand positions are not that stable. i prefered the iSlim its thinner and has the impact plastic back open bezel and the cover laid flater on the ipad

It sucks that some of the Chinao cases I want don't come out till mid April might have to look elsewhere

well you have to think of it this way, its better not to rush cases to the market and get them right then to rush them and get them wrong as several of these threads will show. Look at the switch easy you have a crappy case but great customer service. Chinao looks like they have some nice start to cases with the new design of the wheat case they added magnetic closure and changed the back flap. And that brown Croc case looks really nice

I'm really liking mine, maybe they'll come out with a navy one or something in the future... But, black will do for now.

Got the new Yoobao Executive case for the New iPad. Overall fit and finish is very nice, no strong strange smell like the old first gen Yoobao. This one actually smells like real leather. Yes wake/sleep function works.

Just received my black one and it's everything you mentioned. Ordered if from amazon for $36 with free shipping. I liked it so well I ordered the yellow for my wife's white 3. The only place selling yellow yoobao's are eBay currently.
If you purchase from eBay *******sstore is US located and ships priority.

I prefer buying my Chinese products from American sellers, You see what they did to AYL to get them kicked off Amazon, I would rather pay a few more dollars and support America's economy.

Got my black yoobao executive over the weekend. I've got a yoobao executive on my iPad 1 and a Maroo leather case on my iPad 3. Well, had.

I'd say comparing the 3 cases, the iPad 1 case feels a little more protective than the new one and the cover was just a little more stiffer than the new one, I'd never have to tuck the cover in when using it in keyboard position. The new one I have to sometimes.

The new yoobao pretty much addresses what I was meh about the Maroo, mainly in the cover area. I'd definitely say if I was most concerned about protection, the Maroo is the best padded of the 3 and should protect it from drops the most. But I didn't like how I couldn't rely on the cover to lay and stay where it needed. Carrying it around, it flopped too much and I was afraid that the pad wouldn't constantly turn on and off. Thanks to the magnets on the yoobao, I don't have that worry. The cover is always in the right place and doesn't bounce around. Sure I could use the corner elastic straps on the Maroo to keep the cover down, but meh.

The magnets aren't strong enough to keep it closed when it's upside down, but that's no biggie to me, I don't plan on carrying it that way. As long as the cover stays put when its vertical, that's fine. Also, I'm amazed at how light weight this is, though that may be more from using the much heavier Maroo.

Anyway, so I gave up some protection on the pad, but gained a lighter weight case that has the cover the way I want it. And since I try to avoid dropping it more than carrying it around, that'll do pig. That'll do.

The cheapest looking leather isn't my style. Maybe it it wasn't so shiny and didn't cover parts of the bezel?

I got yoobao, my second one, the first from Amazon had magnet on/off problem. This is the best case in my opinion. I changed 8 of them already. It has full corner protection.

Received my new case... ordered from amazon too just because of the free 2day shipping. I like it overall but the flap that secures the iPad is really obvious in the back. Also the top flap/magnets seem to float on top, not solid contact.

Don't know if this is normal or not though,

I'm not a fan of how much the material has changed from Yoobao Exec cases from the original version for the iPad 1 versus those for the iPad 2 and 3. Its far cheaper both inside and out, the stitching isn't all that great, the material is flimsier, etc. They should have stuck with their original iPad 1 design.

For example, my iPad 1 Yoobao had 'burnished' edges, meaning the edge material looked the same faux-leather as the facing materials. The ones for the iPad 2/3 show that internal 'felt' like material instead.

shipping is never free its built into the price and it sounds like you got an ipad 2 case in a new ipad box, alot of sellers are doing that with the Yoobao ipad 2 case that the magnets just happen to work with the new ipad. great way to clear out old stock. I would return it

I had the Chinao wheat case for my iPad 2. It's totally worth waiting for.

Yea true but were talking what almost 3 months if it doesn't come out till May since it's release? That's kind of ridiculous

but since I just rigged up this cheap case I got as a holdover (inserted sleep/wake magnet and punched out non existent microphone hole ) I might hold off

just checked the status of my back ordered coffee case and the listing has been updated they start shipping Monday wow what a wait, hope it looks as nice as the pics, because that other brown just wasnt right.

Lauren, you getting the new or own the old Vaja style leather case? What's your thoughts on it?

I think I am going for the Yoobao folio; it's the lightest and suites me best for travelling. I'm just waiting for first opinions of the Coffee color. I already have a case with the "clip-on" style rear hard shell, which is great, but it's not as light as the Yoobao, and does not give me the protection I need for unruly peeps at airports, coffee shops etc. Since iPad 1, 2, and now 3, the Yoobao is my "go to" case for going away.:D (It also goes with me for visiting Nieces and Nephews under the age of 6.:))

I hear ya as far as front protection with no bezel, but weird you say they are heavier are they really clunky? I thought they would be more lightweight given there is no leather extending all the way to the forefront, also looks pretty slim and light judging by pictures, looks lighter than a Chinao Wheat at least. I'm undecided now don't want it to be too heavy.

No, sorry if I confused you. The heavier case I referred to is neither the Chinao or the Yoobao, but a different manufacturer altogether. I had both the Chinao Wheat, and the Yoobao Folio for my iPad 2, and they added scarcely any weight to the device, which is great for me when carrying it in a bag that is slung over my shoulder. I'm carring so much when travelling, that any little reduction of the load on my rather small frame helps.

I just got my brown one delivered today. It looks pretty nice. I used metagamer's link on his video review. I wasn't too sure since amazon description says Accessorise (TM) instead of Yoobao but sure enough I got the same Yoobao as in metagamers' vid. Only cost me $19.00 shipped.

Thats a shame you are using Yoobao photos on your amazon store photoshoped the Yoobao out of the pictures and showing Yoobao packaging and sell non Yoobao cases. You ought to be banned from here and Amazon

Just sent this email to Amazon, Hope it helps your business

i see this seller is misleading buyers by using Yoobao Case pictures and selling a non Yoobao iPad case. Yoobao is a well known name he took pictures off Yoobaos website and photoshoped the Yoobao brand name from the photos. Not cool here is the Yoobao website
http://www.yoobao.com/en/product.asp?b_id=146&m_id=200&a_id=573
he is also misleading people on macrumors by claiming that they are Yoobao
