I forgot to mention that I got the white version of this case. That's why I was able to get the two day shipping with it which is an extra $10. The black version of the case only has the standard shipping option which is free, while standard shipping for the white version costs $8, hence why I decided to go with two day shipping which was just an extra two dollars for a total of $10 for shipping bringing the total price shipped to $30.

I hope that clarifies everything.

Here's the link for the white version in case anyone's interested: Click here.

Coffee color case....

Would you be so kind as to post some pictures of the coffee color? :)

shipping is never free its built into the price and it sounds like you got an ipad 2 case in a new ipad box, alot of sellers are doing that with the Yoobao ipad 2 case that the magnets just happen to work with the new ipad. great way to clear out old stock. I would return it

If that is the case then ******* is double dipping and charging me shipping twice. What a rip off !

I got it exchanged and the exchanged one from the same seller work perfectly !

i jumped n ordered the red one from amazon/AYL for $19.99, clicked the link from metagamers youtube review, so hoping it'll be genuine yoobao without any smell or big misalignment (had previous experiences on yoobao's ipad 2 case).

just did a quick search on my amazon order history, and i did order my yoobao ipad2 case from AYL as well. so for $20-why not, and i remember AYL having really good customer support too.

I ordered the coffee color this morning. I have the iPad2 so hopefully it fits correctly.

I just received my purple Yoobao case from AYL which I ordered from Amazon and I must admit I am very very please with it. I only paid $19 for it and that includes shipping. I received it in three days so that's pretty awesome! The case does not's smell. The magnets work perfectly.

Apparently I'm late to this party but just wanted to state that the YooBao cases shown and linked in my videos are authentic from AYL. I'm totally confused as why it's being stated otherwise and I have personally spoken to AYL and confirmed they are an authorized dealer o YooBao.

I don't see the difference either priced the same as well 35 free ship? Well they were 19.99 would have been a steal dont see that deal anymore though.

So as I said earlier in this thread, I will be comparing the Poetic Strapback Rigid Leather case to the Yoobao Executive Leather case and posting my thoughts on which case I thought was the best buy.

I have the black Yoobao case in hand and have used it for about a day now and I received the Poetic case just a few short hours ago and it is clear which I think is the better buy.

In the short time that I have had both cases I have noticed some things that I think are worth mentioning, so let's get started.

First off, the auto sleep/wake feature works great on both cases, but I'm going to have to give this one to the Poetic. The reason being is that with the Yoobao case, the front cover that activates the sleep/wake feature can be moved around because the magnets that hold the screen cover down aren't very strong and the case doesn't have stiff spine to keep the screen cover in one place, and I have on numerous occasions, accidentally activated the sleep/wake feature on the Yoobao case unintentionally. This is not a problem with the Poetic case because the latch that is built into the front cover of the case keeps the screen cover in one position.

Secondly, both cases offer very good protection for the iPad, but I think that the Yoobao case offers more protection than the Poetic case because it covers more of the iPad than the Poetic case does. That isn't to stay that the Poetic doesn't cover a lot of the iPad, it does, but the Yoobao covers literally the whole iPad, bezel and all.

Third, the typing and stand positions on the Yoobao case are, in my opinion, not the best. With the Yoobao case, there is only one little latch that you fold the screen cover into to enable the stand and typing positions, and I have noticed that the stand feature is stable only if it is on a completely flat surface, like a table. The Yoobao case easily fell over and was quite unstable while in stand mode when it was on my bed. The Poetic case on the other hand, was very stable whether it was on a bed or on a table because instead of only having a small portion of the case propping it up, the whole front cover acts as part of the stand because the grooves for the stand options are built into the inner part of the front of the case giving it a larger area for the case to stand up on as opposed to the Yoobao case. Also, with the poetic case you get multiple stand options and a typing position. So far from my usage, the stand options on the Poetic case are much better than the stand options on the Yoobao case, but the Yoobao case has a better typing position. This is something I noticed about the Poetic case. The typing position starts off at about a 30° angle but since there is no groove for the typing position, it eventually sinks to a useless 5° angle, which is pretty much the iPad laying flat, but other than that flaw, the stand options on the Poetic case are great.

Lastly, the quality of the cases is great, however I did notice that on my Yoobao case, some stitching was visible, but the leather was much more genuine leather than that of the Poetic case. Also, the Yoobao case doesn't really feel to snug against the iPad. When you grab the iPad, you can feel the back of the case push in a bit when you grip the iPad, this is not the case with the Poetic since it rigid unlike the leather of the Yoobao case. I did notice that the clasp on the Poetic is tight at first, but it does loosen up, so it really isn't a problem.

Overall, I think the Poetic case is the better buy, especially now that the Yoobao case is going for $35 shipped while the Poetic is $20 shipped. In the end, I feel like I expected more from the Yoobao, but it just didn't deliver, while the Poetic delivered in all ways except for the typing position issue, but other than that it was a very good, well-made case.

Ratings:
Yoobao case: 4 out of 5
Poetic case: 4.5 out of 5

P.S. Sorry for any typos, this was typed entirely on my my iPad.

I think this Kevin dude is trying to shut down all of his competitors. He's clearly using a bunch of fake user IDs to discredit other cases/retailers and make Yoobao seem the only choice and we only buy from his website.

I ordered it from your link and it's exactly the same Yoobao that you showed in your video.

That said, although I'm currently using the case, I do get annoyed by how easy it is to accidentally activate sleep/awake features. I do agree with other user that Poetic is better at preventing this since it has stonger magnets. I don't understand why Yoobao decided to do away with the extra magnets they had on their iPad2 v3 case to keep the cover closed more securely.

Also, none of the Yoobao cases seem to center the iPad. I looked at some iPad 2 videos and this appears to be the case then too. What I mean is when you put the iPad in Yoobao, the front-facing camera and the home buttons seems to be a little to the left of the case. The bezel apppears more on the right than left too. Minor annoyance since it doesn't really affect any operations but still annoying. That Kevin guy in his numorous IDs will try to convince you that you got the repackaged iPad 2 case since you didn't buy from his website, but it's also an issue in the purple case that's only made for the new iPad. Most convincingly, all of the Yoobao promo pics from their website seem to show this as well.

I really like the light-weight aspect of Yoobao but honestly, I miss my SwitchEasy iPad 2 canvas case. Only reason I didn't get the same one for my new iPad is because they got rid of the latch. To me the latch was awesome since I tend to put my iPad in my backpack and I never had to worry about accidentally activating sleep/wake.

I'm still waiting for SwitchEasy to come to its senses and release a version of the canvas with the latch restored.

100% agreed. The Yoobao cases from AYL are definitely legit Yoobao cases. I also agree with you on the centering issue with the Yoobao case. My Yoobao case is also to the left which is a bit annoying, but is no where near as annoying as accidentally activating the sleep/wake feature.

I thought my purple Yoobao was off center too until I pushed the iPad all the way back into the case. As for the accidental activating of the wake/sleep feature, my Yoobao case stays closed even in my purse.

I have my iPad 3 in the latest Yoobao iSlim and the sleep/wake was triggering with so little movement I've disabled the function in Settings. Sleeping/waking using the power button like I did on my original iPad is no hardship and the magnets still serve a useful purpose keeping the cover closed when carrying.

This is why I want the Chinao Vaja style as it has four clips, these cases where the iPad slides in the bezel led frame it sucks because it doesn't stay put all the way in. Especially if you are using the iPad where the opening is on the bottom it slides out a bit, if held straight up no?

After reading the reviews above, I am wondering if it is the same as last year, with the Yoobao cases. The first "revision" that came out when the iPad 2 was released, had some minor problems, such as what you describe. Then, down the road, a lot of these were addressed with their later models. Based on what I see above, I think I will wait before ordering. I have my Joy Factory case (which I love) that I received 10 days ago, so my Ipad has a cover for my daily use. I always really need the Yoobao for the added protection, and lighter weight, when I am travelling, and my next overseas trip is still a couple of months ahead.
