Yoobao leather iPad case (OP updated with all revisions)

Just got my Yoobao from dplxy.

Just as described , has the flap and no stink !

Great ebayer , I ordered mine Tuesday night and got it this morning. California to Florida in 60 hours :eek: ........ Awesome !

Nice case , much better than the Apple case IMO . :cool:

I like the case but I'm not a fan of the white stitching. Any thoughts on whether that could by dyed or covered with black sharpie? :D

You know I'm not a fan of the white stitching either , I was hesitant because of that fact but it really isn't that bad in person. It's a lot more subtle than the pics and video.
 
I wish I knew about him before. I ordered mine from china just a day or two before he was mentioned :( that was last week, and still no case. I bet the leather is gonna stink, too. Probably elastic straps while we're at it

im working with yoobao now and try to convince them to use black stitching
white stitching stands out too much :apple:

I was just about to order one, but I think I'll wait until you hear back from Yoobao.

I would much rather have one with black stitching than the white.

from me telling them => production => send it to me
is gonna take some time
and they might not change it
since they are selling pretty well as for now
 
Worried about ebay order

So, I have been following this thread for the past two weeks. When I saw that Yoobao had added the flap, I ordered one off an eBay seller, based on a picture he he had on the auction, showing the flap clearly. I wish now I had ordered from dplxy because yesterday, when I went to check on the package progress, I clicked on the link of the original order, and the picture showing the flap had been substituted with one showing the cheapy straps instead! I emailed the seller immediately, but have not heard back from him. Thankfully, I had taken a Screenshot of the original page, just in case, and it clearly shows the Watermark he has over all his pictures, as does my screen capture showing the flap. I will not mention his name here until I know for sure that he made a "switch" but I am very concerned! It's been 10 days now, so it should arrive soon.

If I do not receive the case I ordered, any advice would be much appreciated!

laurenr, ebay has pretty good buyer protection, and they should keep record of any modifications made to the listing. if you do, in fact, get the wrong item, you should let the buyer kindly know that the product they shipped you was not consistent with the listing, and give them an opportunity to right their wrong (either by exchanging it or refunding).

if you do not hear from them within a day or two or they are not willing to comply, you should file a complaint and you will be given a full refund.

Thanks for the advice! I am so hoping he was honest enough not to substitute the flap version of the case with the cheapy alternative/sewn on straps!

I wonder if black shoe polish would work... Won't harm the leather and I think it might "soak" into the stitching enough to make it black. Might have to rub it in pretty good, but it should do the trick.

That guy sent me el cheapo strappy, stinky version. I got dxply's flap, nonstink version in two days, $20 cheaper.

Same situation, he sold me a flap version, changed his ad and shipped me a strap version.
