i can also vouch for dplxy. i ordered off of him on ebay and received my case 2 days after ordering (And i ordered in the late afternoon, around 3PM PST).

the one thing is, though, he did ship me a case without the flap, even though the picture in the auction showed a flap. i e-mailed him, and he said he'd exchange it (and he even offered to send me a flapped version for $20 if i wanted to keep the original). he paid for my return shipping, and i'm still waiting for the flapped version. based on his quick communication and having already received his payment for the return shipping, i expect to receive the flapped version shortly. if you order through him, you might want to specify that you do want the version with flap, just to spare the exchange process.

hey man =)
is me from ebay
good news and bad news
before i send out your replacement,
i opened the box to check and make sure every thing is ok,
and i found a mark on the back of the case.
here is a picture:

the good news is i will be getting more in few days
( should be here no later than Friday) once i get them i will send it out asap.

they change the leather on the new case
it doesn't have that weird smell anymore =)
smells pretty good

Man, I've been searching for a decent case for a while. Many of the most promising either turn up duds, are back ordered, or aren't released yet.

This Yoobao seems like the best option. Which seller should I order from, and how do I guarantee getting the "flap" version?

thanks dplxy, i appreciate the extra effort. crazy that you found me here. -=) hope you sell through all of your shipment.

If this case didn't extend too far toward the actual screen, I'd be interested. It looks awkward to hit the space bar etc since the leather is butting up against the actual touch screen.

if the leather is super thin, it is super easy to damage the case.

You can't see from the pictures if it has the flap on the inside to hold the iPad in. And I don't see anywhere on their ebay listing which states that if it does or doesn't.

I emailed the seller...

"Hi?thanks for your mail.

i am sorry this design didnt have such a flap to keep from falling at other site.

thanks"

Too bad. Nice looking case otherwise.

Wow, what a pity no one is going to buy this case now and I loved the colors!
If anyone gets one let us know if there is a way to either use the fix folks came up with or perhaps even having a flap sewed in after the fact!

To anyone who bought the new Yoobao case, does it still have the issue with the micro fiber on the inside shedding?

That's the reason I stopped using it. I got tired of constantly cleaning off the screen and having the little black particles everywhere.

Also regarding the new leather case someone just showed. The case looks really nice, but I just don't understand why companies are still coming out with cases that lack the inside flap? That design flaw seems to have been known for awhile now, and to not have the common sense to put it in there is crazy.

Got my order from China today (didn't pay express shipping). Sure enough, he subbed in the model with the two elastic straps for the flap model I originally ordered. Cheap, stretchy, sewing-fabric grade elastic. I'm not even going to use it, I'll just list this on Craigslist....someone else who doesn't know about the flap model will be happy with it I'm sure. Its functional, but when you sit the iPad in the case in the upright horizontal position, the iPad still slips and gets off-kilter with the leather surrounding the screen. So while it does keep it from falling out, the elastic isn't a perfect solution. Yes, I can use my own idea with a sticky pad...but I don't want to.

I ordered a flap model from DXPLY linked above....hope that one is what I wanted.

I had lots of micro-fiber shedding with my first Yoobao case (without the flap). After a week it wasn't shedding much and wasn't really an issue. With my new Yoobao case (with the flap), I have noticed very little (if any) shedding right from the start, and I've now been using the new case for about 5 days and haven't even given the shedding a 2nd thought until I read this post, so it hasn't been an issue.

Yes we bought the new one with the flap, and it also doesn't have the weird smell. Smell's fine.

Just placed my order with dplxy!
Seems that the new version with the flap is just what I am looking for after reading about how bad the Apple case scuffs.

How is typing in landscape with the new Yoobao case?

Pretty much exactly the same as typing with the Apple case. About the best typing experience you can get without a real keyboard.

Do not buy version 3 from ebesthoo168

These are simply version 1 cases that have had elastic sewed into them and are being sold as version 3 cases. The version 2 cases are Yoobao's latest cases, not version 3. The pictures and descriptions are deceiving. He now has version 2 cases that he's selling for the same price.
