Negative. The Chinao case isn't leather, and has exactly the same aesthetic flaws as the the new Yoobao slim case: white stitching and conspicuous branding. And those spurious holes in the back.

I have the Yoobao Slim. The logo is barely noticeable. As for the white stitching...20 minutes with a fine point black Sharpie pen and problem solved.

x2 on the logo - it's barely noticeable on the Slim - it's very well done, IMO.

To the poster asking about the corners sticking out - they do stick out. The leather comes to the beginning of the rubber corner and the corner sticks out from there.

Theres always something

Why they couldnt have used corners like the magic case I dont know :(

The yoobao slim case looks really nice. where did you get it? Thanks.

I finally received my Slim case this afternoon (after ordering it on August 3, 2010...it was received by Canada Customs on August 18, 2010). Very nice case, very slim and no "sharp" edges like on the OEM Apple case that I've been using. The white stitching isn't too bad, but I might hit it with some fabric dye later on.

Is the key difference between MAGIC v SLIM the different viewing positions that the magic offers? And the closing strap on the slim ...

How much slimmer & lighter is the slim?

Can someone give me a short highlight of the differences?

Thanks.

Question about fit...

I just received my Slim case after reading all the positive reviews about the Yoobao cases. I'm having a hard time getting my iPad into the case. It seems like I would really have to push the iPad hard into the case to the point where the corners would get scratched just by doing so.

Did anyone else have any problems putting their iPad into their Magic or Slim case? Suggestions (surely i'm missing something obvious here!)?

Also, have any users noticed the corners of their iPads getting scratched by the plastic tabs of the case?

Thanks in advance! :)

I just got my slim case today and had no problem popping it in. I put the right/outside corners in first, then popped in the left/inside corners. I'm pretty confident that this plastic won't scratch the aluminum casing.

This case is awesome. I'm glad I held out for this one.

Yoobao Denim Case

This case is a lot like the V2 case but has a unique denim look to it.

Now at least I know what happened to all the acid wash denim from the late 1980's, early 90's...

That case is hideous (of course with the standard disclaimer of IMHO)

just use a little more force...

it is hard to put in but once you put in, you never need to worry about the slipping out

Im still undecided between the v4 and the slim (to be honest the whole v# naming convention confused me on the products) and I would like to find a canadian seller with a good reputation that replies quickly. I would love to find someone that includes shipping in the cost.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

On another note, I havent seen Dplx around here in a long time :(

I would/should have bought my Yoobao slim from this eBay seller instead of anybattery.com.

Maybe you can try this one.

I'm thinking of ordering this one from kevindotcom on ebay, but before I order i was hoping someone could comment on how easy it is to take in and out, and if the case loses its grip from removal? When I'm at home I usually don't use a case, and I also dock it. I'm currently using the super bulky Incase convertible book jacket and I want something thinner.

I have the Magic case, and I think it's pretty easy to take in/out of the case. However, I don't take it out very often, so it's tough for me to say how well the grips on the case will hold up if you do it a lot. So far though, I love the Magic case - has the same functionality as the InCase (I used to have this) but way less bulkier and I like how it keeps the bezel free and clear.:)

So yeah....after watching this thread grow after a couple months and trying and reviewing (www.youtube.com/wilwiredtv) dozens of cases.. I took a chance and ordered the Magic Case via Ebay. Well, I received it about 30 mins ago.

Wow.

This case is amazing. Sleek leather, awesome viewing positions, no lame frame around the border of the screen...and all in a non-bulky style design. Freaking love it. Big thanks to this thread. Amazing case. Also, I bought mine from the KevinKev guy, got it in 3 days!

I'll film a video review maybe towards the end of today depending on my usage of the case.

I could not agree more. Awesome case. I have had the incase convertible bookstand, the apple case, the macally bookstand and none compare to the quality versatilty and style of Magic case. Best case, great price. I am thinking of buying the new slim just to change things up now and then.
