I remember doing this last year. It was interesting waking up early for a pre-pre order, but once you get in, the week after is like cutting in line to get your phone. Waking up early is basically your ticket to cut in line (At least if you live on the west coast).

Still not able to pre-pre-order from the Veterans & Military store. So annoying. Totally worth the discount to wait, though, and since we pay outright shouldn't be too big of a problem.

So pre-pre-order.

Pre-order nonsense is nonsense. Just let people order it now and be done with it. The marketing games are tiresome, to be honest. It's an iPhone, not the holy grail.
I feel like this gives people a chance to research and compare what’s coming and decide what they want. Then when preorders go live they can get a better chance at getting what they want asap.

I’m the type that upgrades every year (because I can/want to). Currently have been on Verizon’s program but want to get away from that. Which is typically better to upgrade yearly with; the iPhone Upgrade Program or Apple Card Installments?
Apple Card Monthly Installments give you the flexibility of choosing AppleCare+ or not (always baked into the price with iPhone Upgrade Program) and you get 3% Daily Cash Back on your payments. However, you’re responsible for the whole remaining used-credit-line you take out whether you want to keep the phone or not. iPhone Upgrade Program has the convenience of just cancelling the remainder of the current loan if you choose to upgrade.

In terms of upgrading when already a part of one of the options, with Apple Card Monthly Installments I guess it’s your responsibility to sell your current phone to pay off the remaining balance of the used-credit-line without the convenience of it just being cancelled. Or, you trade in the old phone toward the new one, which acts a de facto payment toward the remaining obligation toward the original Apple Card Monthly Installments (Which you’ll continue to pay monthly, or pay off early).

Personally, I would choose the Apple Card Monthly Installments. The Daily Cash is nice, and also it doesn’t require a new credit check (you’re already approved for the credit line because you already have the credit card). You just have to make sure you have enough available credit to cover the entire purchase (though you’ll only be responsible for the monthly payments for the life of the program).

Got mine ready to go. iPhone 16 pro max in black titanium. I had the natural titanium color for the 15 pro and want to change it up.
Did you get tired of the Natural Titanium? I am looking at getting a 16 Pro Max but torn between Black and Natural..

They made it way too easy to set up a preorder. Well, it seems this is the last year I'll get any trade-in value for a 12 Pro, so what the heck. The battery life improvement alone compared to mine at 83%, well, it's going to be very very nice.

An OLED display will be pretty sweet, too. Along with the other improvements.

Pre-order setup done for the teal iPhone 16 Plus. I do the Apple upgrade program — it’s easy and I get an annual upgrade, or downgrade since I’ll be trading in my 15 Pro Max. It’s a nice phone, but tech that I didn’t need and use, and the monthly is lower. My spouse decided to downgrade to the Plus, too.

Why is it I can actually place an order for the Apple Watch but the iPhone I have to “set it up”?

In the UK...

I had recently returned my old iPhone to an Apple Store and now have physical Apple Store gift cards worth £600.

I have now setup the pre-order for a 16PM, base 256GB model, Desert Titanium.

Question:
Will I be able to utilise my Apple Store gift cards (worth £600) and pay the remaining via a credit card on 13 Sept, once the online orders open?

Anyone done this before and how?

I am specifically asking about doing this online (in the Apple Store app or Apple website) as soon as the ordering webitse/app opens and not physically in store?

Any help on clarifying this would be much appreciated...
