You can still save 4.0 SHSH blobs for a limited time

Using Apple server vs Cydia

I was unable to get the Cydia server to work, just hung up. I used Apple for two phones and it worked within a second or two. My question is how can I upload this file that I have into Cydia's server? I would like to have it there just in case I ever lost my local copy, is this possible?
 
I saved mine just after 2pm eastern time so I think everything is ok. If I connect to TinyUmbrella and click "Display SHSHs" my phone info shows up.

I know it's saved to /Users/<username>/.SHSH but I must be blind. I can't seem to find it on my computer. After Umbrella finished there was a link to show in the Finder. I clicked that to make sure the file was there, and it is, then closed everything. Now I can't get back to it...lol!

Did I miss a step or am I just having one of those days? :)

Its a hidden folder so you can go to it manually with the go to folder option in finder.
 
Seems i just saved mine, so now have 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and 4.0 Blobs. TU only states i have 4.0, but i guess thats locally?
 
How do you get your SHSH files???? I can't seem to find the How To and Fireware Umbrella website is slow right now.....
 
I just saved mine from both cydia and apple.

As I've never done this before, as long as I can see the files on my computer, I'm good? I see two of them, with slightly different names (guessing one from each).

When I click Display SHSHs - I get one listing for my ECID.

If you want to find them, there's a big button in the program with something on the lines of open SHSH... I don't know the exact phare on the button, but whatever :p
 
Guess I'm too slow on the draw:(

At 22:10 Eastern I started the download and install of 4. Then just as things were wrapping up got a notice that the update couldn't be completed because Apple couldn't be reached, please try again later. (might be related to doing this from Japan?)

Now, when I look at the iPhone main tab in iTunes the update prompt is for 4.0.1!

My assumption is that I'm only screwed in the event that there's a JB for 4.0 that won't work with 4.0.1. Oh well, I'm happy with 3.12 and MyWi, not too enticed by the toys and joys of iOS4. Moreover, I'm guessing that the Dev team will soon be victorious over 4.0.1!:p
 
you guys rule. I was at work when 4.0.1. was released. I tried to save mine last night but didnt know how to save 4.0 blobs since i was on 3.1.3. I had all but given up hope when I saw this thread. tried and got em saved!
 
I just tried saving my 4.0 SHSH & Umbrella said it was saved to Cydia... How long does it take for the Cydia app to display (on it's main app page) that my 4.0 SHSH is on file? I just checked again, & it doesn't show.

I have read there is some glitch which is preventing the 4.0 hashes from displaying in Cydia. It might be a while, but if TinyUmbrella said success, then you have them.
 
mine displayed in cydia immediately. I did both Apple and Cydia and the first time I loaded cydia it said I had 3.1.3. and 4.0 on file.
