Go to reminders app and start a new list ... name it "grocery". Then when you went to add something just say "hey Siri, add so and so to the grocery list" and voila, it appears there.

I also have list for Costco, Walmart and Home Depot :)

Thanks. I already switched to the reminder way of doing it. No Alexa here either. I just need to get the wife to remember to use this new list instead of the Cozi one or the last one we tried which she still hasn’t deleted the app for yet o_O

I will say the first time I tried using Siri on the watch to add something it said “you don’t have a grocery list, would you like me to make one on your iPhone”. So I used Siri on the phone to make me one and deleted the one I manually made and now it works.

About done with Apple. Just picked up an iPad Pro, only to find out it was completely unusable with my current Apple hardware set (2015 MBP / 2016 27” iMac) without going back to the store for a dongle. Also picked up a gen 4 Apple Watch (last week) that I’ve already had to unpair / re-pair with my XS Max at least 4 times since the purchase last week.

Now this. Can add items to my grocery list via Siri on the iPhone but the watch tells me that I “don’t have a grocery list.”

Apple keeps putting out buggy software and seemingly archaic hardware but wants to pitch us a credit card, magazine subscriptions and its own version of Netflix.

I’ve been a long time Apple customer, but it’s becoming more evident by the day, that the company I once loved went to the grave with Mr. Jobs.

I hear ya, that’s why I hold on to my 2010 MBP, last year under Jobs, i5 and still going strong. Seems with the new stuff out there, there’s more Windoze, and less Apple in them. “Reboot, Re-pair, and Retry” seems to be the norm

It’s true. And sad really. I’ve had better luck lately with Amazon hardware than I have with Apple. My Phillips Hue and Nest systems at home all work well with Echo but HomeKit says that rooms aren’t set up and doesn’t recognize any of my Nest hardware. I find myself having to reboot my iPhone at least a couple of times daily. You need to buy all kinds of dongles and additional stuff to make any of the newest Apple stuff even work. They have gotten too big and like many of the other big corporations, lost touch with the customer base that acted as a springboard to get them where they are today.

All good things come to an end. Think it’s time to slowly start transitioning to a Google ecosystem.
