You know you're a geek when you start giving details about your latest hardware purchases using numbers and geek-speak, but this time you don't notice how uninterested people are.

That's when you're a real geek.

When you name your kid Mac & Apple.

Gweneth Paltrow owns several iPods, and MacBooks, and don't give me crap about how she was trying to name her daughter after the fruit, just look at all the Apple gear she has :D

And as for Mac, there are plenty of people named Mac.

When I am at the copy machine, each time the scanner runs across the page I exclaim out loud: "Command + C!"

When I leave work for the day I exclaim: "Command + Q!" as I walk out the door.

Hahahaha! I think I just **** myself... I better go clean up or everyone in the office will notice.

Just recently I've been reading the threads of when the original iPod came out (man, that was a lot of whining).

I also like to watch old keynotes (introduction of the Macintosh, iPod, iMac, iPhone...).

I like viewing old threads and I've watched near enough every Apple presentation I could find.

Also, you know you're a geek when you've watched Pirates of Silicon Valley

i know my girlfriend thinks i'm a geek b/c when we watch shows that we TiVo.. i'll fast forward through the commercials, unless I see an Apple commercial. I literally rewind the TiVo, watch the Apple commercial, and then fast forward back to whatever show we were watching

You know you're a geek when you go to the apple site and watch all the commercials from 2006 until now

When you get angry from the Internet cutting in and out.
Hating life because I have satellite internet
Telling husband why the router can't see any machines, and why my Mac cannot connect. He had a bad password
Plays offline games (Like Bejeweled 2) when the net it out
Checks periodically for the net to come back up

Ykyagw

you ssh into your desktop from school which has 8gb of ram 1,250gb of disk space and a qaud core cpu. You have never used a mac before but went over to a freinds house and found a bash shell to which you figured out instantly from previous (unix/linux) experience. You pretend to know of no "windows". You have an apache server setup on your computer which you let your teachers on to turn in assignments. You think its easier to use the shell than the GUI. etc etc :D
