Don't take prescription pills for your hair loss i've heard tons of awful side effects

as soon as i recognized by a godly vision (looking through a window from above) how utterly ridculous it looks, having a jason priestley kind of hairdo in combination with a norwood 4 style hole, shaved it all off and having relaxed times since then. Saving a lot of money, too. Now i look like Pep Guardiola which is much more preferable in comparison to the Priestley-hairdo.:p

and always remember: hair is nothing but a useful, natural grown hat

Growing bald gracefully. I started balding in my early twenties and now in my mid thirties I'm at about a 5 on that scale you posted. I keep my hair cut very short with clippers (1 guard) as opposed to totally shaving it.

I used to have beautiful wavy curls as a kid and often didn't like my hair because it was so different from everyone else. I would love to have my curly locks back, but as I tell people who ask me about it, "the lord giveth and the lord taketh away". As for my hair, that's on the "taketh away" side. :D

OP, I looked up the procedure you are considering. Do you really think that getting pigment/tatoo that looks like hair is going to give you the results you want? It seems that's pretty drastic and would be very difficult to reverse if you decide later that you don't like it.

yeah, a tatoo is a no-brainer..with a capital No! but actually never saw in reality...should be extra thoughtful if one thinks about tatooing his head

@mscriv: lovin' your ww-game!

Cut off my long hair and spike it up all messy (hides the thinning). If it gets worse I may get it all shaved off, but think I will look too much like a thug because of my build.
Whatever you do do not comb over. Its against the law in many countries now. And remember no matter how good it looks to you in the morning, the first bit of a draft and the illusion is gone!

So true!

And about the transplant:

Well sure, but really it does not matter. It's not even something I think about. It's just not an issue. Be secure in who you are, and you'll be fine presenting yourself to others.

Implying that wanting to have hair = insecurity.

It might not be something you think about, or don't' consider important, but to others (myself included) it is very important.

Why? Why in the world is it so important to you? If you want to spend money on expensive solutions, medical procedures and the like, feel free.

I liked having hair too.

I however, I dislike expensive, elective medical procedures/ chemical 'solutions' more.

I still have a head full of hair and it's still rather thick. However, I recently saw a my high school senior year photo and realized how much more hair I had. Lately, I've noticed that my hair line has receded a lot compared to high school. I told a few friends and they all say that I'm worrying too much, and I agree for the most part. However, I didn't think that I would be suffering this until I was in my late 30s at the earliest. Both my parents still have very thick hair on their heads. My dad's hairline did recede a bit but not too drastic. Hopefully I'll be fortunate and didn't inherit some sort of recessive gene where people in my family went bald.

For now I'm styling it as I normally would but if my hair line recedes too far, I get a cul-de-sac, or bald spots, I'll just shave my head bald. I'd hate to have to get to the point where I'm shaving both my heads. :p

I'm definitely looking into Micro-Scalp pigmentation, I have a few friends who've had it done, and it looks 100% natural, real, authentic, people can't even tell.

It sucks that I got stuck with the bad genes :(

I hear ya. Mine is starting to get noticable so I'm trying to get a Drs appointment to try propecia but every doctor around here is booked solid for over a month.

I've also looked at surgery and am trying to find people who went that route and see if they were satisfied.

It really sucks :(

Learn to live with it. Consider Patrick Stewart, bald since he was 19: In an interview with Michael Parkinson, he expressed gratitude for Gene Roddenberry's riposte to a reporter who said, "Surely they would have cured baldness by the 24th century," to which Roddenberry replied, "In the 24th century, they wouldn't care."
Be who you are - I have no hair, I'm still me, I do what I do, I am who I am. I used to have long hair, down to my waist, but it all started falling out, so I cut it off, and ultimately shaved the remaining bits off, double-zero. Glad I don't have to spend time worrying about - much better things to do with my limited time.

Great attitude to have. Three cheers!

www.hishairclinic.com -- the tattoo seems reasonable.

What I'm doing? Nothing.

Don't really plan to do anything either, except shave it all off once it looks bad. Hair is hair -- there's no sense getting incredibly worked up over vanity. I mean you don't want to look like **** for business due to first impressions and judgments based on look, but you don't need to be the top male model either. Any woman that's worth their weight in salt won't care about your baldness.

I think the tattoo solution is a poor idea -- if you're up close it's pretty obvious that it's a tattoo. Furthermore, changing it is going to be a charm... what are you going to do when you're 80? Still have that "full shaven head" of black hair with your white eyebrows, nosehair, and earhair? Never mind the deformation from wrinkling, skin sagging, and age spots.

Plus it just looks unnatural. Who wants permanent stuble.

Maybe I'm clicking on the wrong stuff, but what i see is pictures of balding guys who get a tattoo of hair, but still look like they have a buzz cut. Am I missing something or is that it: you get this done and u don't really have a full head of hair, just an illusion of a buzz cut?

Heh, I don't have to worry. Both sides of my family have full heads of hair until they drop off their perch.

Quite honestly, compared to the side effects of the Acne medication my doctor tried to give me nothings seems bad.

It had hallucinations and mental breakdowns as a known side effect. WTF!?
