Think carefully crafted. heavily sprayed comb over.

A truly great look.

;) :D

I'd rather be bald and show it, lol. I got my hair from Dad and did not go bald until about 47. By then I was spoken for so who cares. ;) Unfortunately my brother got his hair from Mom's side of the family and he was going bald by 20. He did hair transplants with the corn-row look. They have come a ways since then and it looks much more natural today, but it ain't cheap. Bosley is the name of the company pushing transplants. It's that or go with the Capt Picard look, however relatively few men imo have attractive bald heads.

Sometimes it's not just about how it looks to other people, it's about how you want to present yourself and you liking your own hair.

Fortunately we're in the times of fixing problems like this. :D

This is what I think would called a "First World Problem". If your self-worth is tied to how much hair is on your head, and think you need to spend money on artificially adding hair to your head.... let just say my priorities are different.

I'm not going bald, I'm getting taller and growing up through my hair.

My solution is to cut my hair shorter. I have way too many other, important, things to worry about than whether I'm getting thinner on top. Wisdom comes with age, I suppose....

You mean you don't like this look!!??

Having looked at the scale it looks like im am somewhere in the middle of a III vertex and a IV.

Im 30 now and the balding started at around 24, prior to that between the age of about 17-22 i had very long hair which i noticed was starting to rip my roots out so had it all cut off. The balding started at the back and the front is also thinning - have to admit its frustrated me for a long time but im slowly learning to accept whats coming.

Thankfully i have a good barber (been going to her since i was 16) so she knows me well and does all she can to cut my hair as short as possible whilst not making me look scalped. Need to go once every month or so now as nothing grows at the same speed.

Ive tried Amino acid tablets (called head high) which proberbly do no good but i bought them on a whim and wont throw them away, i also use Alpecin shampoo which although a gimick product does help my scalp as i do get exma (cant remember how to spell it correctly so forgive me) quite badly and this has knock on effects im sure.

I find it easier to accept when i see people like Bruce Willis and Jason Statham making do and if all else fails theres always the Hitman look - although id proberbly need a better body to pull that off!

I have a room mate that is somewhere around the Va and VI stage on this scale.

He usually cuts it very short and just goes from there. He almost always wears a hat to cover it up though.

I have been bugging him for almost a year to let me shave it bald with my DE safety razor. He finally let me a month ago and it looked better as far as I was concerned.

I'm seriously starting to worry about my hair. I'm 18 now, my dad and brother are both well into their balding stage, to the point of being bald.

On that scale, I'm somewhere between a I and II.

Anything I can do to slow it's process, or to help my hair, preferably no-products?
