notifications use the same sound as voicemail so you have to edit the 'Voicemail.caf' file

Not all of them. You can change apps with caf. files like AIM and Boxcar. But i couldnt find one in facebook, so i guess your right.

The 'Insert Coin' sound from SEGA's original OutRun arcade game. 😎

don't kno if this has already been said but the old spice whistle is hands down teh best sms tone out there. it's classic.

If you are talking about the XBOX 360 Achievement sound, just search Cydia for XBOX and you should find it.

I would but that also forces me to download winterboard and I'd rather not.

you could always just download the xbox sound, ssh and copy the .caf file straight to your UI sounds folder?

Haven't been properly updated for iOS4, it have been reported to have several memories leaks, performance issues, and most of the Themes are not iOS4 compatible since the theme structure change so a little messy with compatibility

Yes but every theme that works for OS 4 (via SSH) will work with WinterBoard, so that is not really a factor.

No but I'd love to get that one too.

I do have the Xbox 360 Slim's "power on" and XBL "achievement unlocked" sounds ready for SSH. I got them from Major Nelson.

sms-received2.caf is power on and sms-received4.caf is the achievement sound. Of course you can change the sms number to which ever you'd like for your phone.

I use the Euro trip email sound "Mail motha f*cka"

Whoever posted "MESSAGE" from Don't be a menace...thats awesome. I might use that one and switch the tone from Euro trip to Email lol

hmmm, somethings not working right for me...

iv read every post, sure iv followed the right steps, iv renamed the sound clips to sms-received2.caf etc, backed up the default 1s.
but the custom sounds iv put in wont make a sound

i have a feeling this is where iv went wrong?
mp3>itunes>sync
Ringtone Designer>select audio clip>create
itunes makes a .m4r of it and iv renamed it to .caf

is that fine? or do i need a differnent converter because these cusotm tones are just muted on the phone

The file needs to be an .aiff file, not a .m4r file.

Not really true, I got a few themes that need some Manual moving and editing to work properly, but them again, not really going to argue over this
