Not in any real order,

All The Presidents Men
Wall Street
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
The Big Lebowski
The Shop Around The Corner (soppy sod sometimes)

Time for one of these threads again huh...

No idea what I put last time  Anyway, in no order:

  • Pulp Fiction
  • The Matrix
  • The Blues Brothers
  • Breakfast Club
  • Jurassic Park
  • Back to the Future
  • (I know that's 6, bite me :p)

Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, love the films and if it was a top 10 they would definitely be in there.

I'd also put Stardust in there. I like my coming-of-age music nutter films.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Fellowship of the Ring
3. Other Star Wars and LotR films
4. Life of Brian
5. Harry Potter

mmm i might be the only one here to say - that i think that film was pants

Shaun of the Dead was much better

NO! I liked both, but Shaun of the Dead was somehow less funny IMHO. Hot Fuzz was really more comedic (not as dark of an overtone). :shrugs: To each his own I suppose.

Return of the Jedi
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Seven Samurai
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Its hard to pick just five, really, really hard. I picked these five since they are the ones I've watched the most times. I would be happier if I could put up my top 10:

Them!
Dirty Harry
Ratatouille
The Gods Must be Crazy
Patton

Now I feel better...

Borat
This Is England
About A Boy
Forrest Gump
K-Pax

I'm sure that will be different in a week, but its just what I'm feeling...

EDIT: Scrap About A Boy for Shawshank Redemption...

Once Upon A Time In The West
Duck, You Sucker (a Fistful Of Dynamite)
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Vertigo

Hmm, changes all the time, but off the top of my head:

Usual Suspects
Aliens: The Directors Cut
Shawn of the Dead
Hot Fuzz
The Fugitive (was on TV last night, forgotten how good it is)
Die Hard
Casablanca
Michael Clayton
Raiders of Lost Ark
Arlington Road
Lock, Stock, and 2 smoking barrels

What's it about...would a Family Video have it?

I'm not sure if too many rental stores keep it around now because it's more than 20 years old.

However, without giving away too much, let me say that it's basically a comedy in which the 20th Century CE comes into contact with 20th Century BCE.;)

hmm....

-The Matrix, I can watch this all the time and learn something new
-The Tao of Steve
-Back to the Future II, my favorite of the Trilogy
-Dumb and Dumber/ Tommy Boy, probably the two most quoted movies between my friends and I
-Little Shop of Horrors (musical version). I grew up watching this every weekend

I watched the gods must be crazy last weekend. Talk about a trip back into time. :D

Sad part is - especially the opening 5 minutes - are still 100% accurate to this day. :(

I guess mine would be:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
The Game
Doctor Zhivago
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (when it came out)

Today's would include:

Goodfellas
A Wonderful Life
Shawshank Redemption
The Breakfast Club
St Elmo's Fire
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Porky's
