You have said that at least 10 times in this thread. No need to keep repeating it. Everyone has already told you it started for them after 11. You are the only one that keeps saying before 11, and your links were not the same issue.

It's been a long standing issue. People have experienced this problem prior to iOS11. Google has not confirmed that it's an iOS11 issue.
 
An update came out and now my youtube videos make a popping noise from the audio when playing. I am not sure if the drain and heat is resolved yet. Will report back once I use it more.

Ugh, do they not test their releases?!

I thought it was just a particular channel I was watching, but you’re right... I have the popping sound too. Very annoying.
 
Okay, interesting. I ran it last night. No heat, no popping any longer. Hmm. This is confusing the heck out of me.
 
I just tried the youtube app again because apparently there had been some updates since the last time I used it.

iPhone was burning hot within 5 minutes and battery went down by about 6%. Uninstalled that crap again right away.

This is on an iPhone 5S on iOS 11.1. Never had this issue prior to iOS 11.
