Yeah, they are forcing you to choose to subscribe or get an ad blocker. The also upped the adds frequency and duration on YouTube, it’s absolutely insane. Every 4 minutes you get new adds shoved down your throat and some are up to a minute long(!). Very aggressive and annoying.
You don’t need separate ad blocker for brave. It’s an option that you can enable or disable in the browser app. I haven’t seen a single you tube ad on my iPad for over couple of years.brave does not have YT ad blocker for ipad. Tried may - nothing worked.
Adblocker for my TV already skips there in video ads. No issues there.
Personally I pay for YT Premium but in-video ads (Sponsor Blocks) are PITA right now.Once they start injecting the ads into the videos themselves, something they are currently trialing, it'll be interesting to see if the ad-blocking community can defeat that.
then when in Terminal on level of folder "SafariExtension"sudo xcode-select --switch /Applications/Xcode.app
xcrun safari-web-extension-converter SafariExtension
There’s pretty much a 0% chance they will raise the fees paid to content creators in the same way. There’s your screwee, right there.
”Legal”? New level of entitlement achieved 🥳 The rate in India is already nearly double what you pay in a western nation when you take average income into account. You want them to pay 10x what you pay just to make you feel better? Well done, I never thought people would go this far but you proved me wrong.
12$ more per month for family premium in Switzerland. Just like that. Because Switzerland.
Ad blockers don’t work in the app do they?Or just get a free ad blocker.
I get frequent ads but you can literally skip them after five seconds. The also upped the adds frequency and duration on YouTube, it’s absolutely insane. Every 4 minutes you get new adds shoved down your throat and some are up to a minute long(!). Very aggressive and annoying.
I'm never going to pay these crazy prices when someone from India pays only $2 for the same product.
not on all of them. you do that frequent enough, you'll get a 2/2 ad for 15/30secs each.I get frequent ads but you can literally skip them after five seconds.
No, but you can use Safari.Ad blockers don’t work in the app do they?
Probably because few would ever subscribe to YouTube music on its own. Based on usage, I doubt YouTube premium would get any cheaper even if sold separately from Youtube Premium. It's just one more way of making the deal appear sweeter than it really is. It did get me to drop my Apple One subscription, and Youtube Music is functional, but I don't really enjoy it (chiefly due to the lack of shortcut integration, the clunkier interface and third party cover songs ruining my Siri commands).Still dont understand why they dont make YouTube Music a separate entity - I dont use it and I don't want it but I'm forced to pay for it as part of Premium.
I saw an advert for Google AI (Gemini) on tv the other day.Google has won the adblock war. It's over boys.
I watch mostly on Apple TV, so that is not really an option. And the sites are getting better and better at circumventing the ad blockers on PC browsers, which turns it into a perpetual game of offense vs. defense.

Hasn’t happened to me. YouTube literally is 44 percent t of my battery usage followed by TikTok.not on all of them. you do that frequent enough, you'll get a 2/2 ad for 15/30secs each.
Maybe the $2 increase last year was enough? lol...who am I kidding.CORRECTION :
"YouTube Premium pricing has not increased in the United States, Canada"... yet
YT is a far cry from what it was and what it could have potentially have been in the early 2000’s. It’s just a time waste and full of sup par content. Better to read a book
