YouTube Says iOS Picture-in-Picture Coming to All US Users

Lol, that’s BS (not you, but YT support). It’s obvious from the fact that some don’t have Dark Mode toggle enabled in settings. There’s a thread indicating some are still waiting for that feature, which was shocking to me. But now that Safari YT PiP works… I stopped using the app.

And I’m still waiting for SplitView/SlideOver for YT Music. I refuse to use the app until it provides that functionality.

Yeah just noticed it works via safari. Guess this will have to do for now
 
I am running the iOS 15 beta 2 (iPad Pro 12.9 2021) and the PIP no longer works in Safari for YouTube.

Was using my iPad yesterday and worked. Working on iPhone right now as I type this on latest beta. Make sure it’s full screen in browser.
 
PIP now works on my iPad natively in the YouTube app! Running iPadOS 15 Beta 2. They had to have enabled something on the back end because I haven’t updated the app since yesterday.

It does not work on my iPhone yet.

The app doesn’t work on my phone or iPad (running 14). The safari way only works on my iPad. Too bad my iPad is at the end of its life and can‘t handle doing more than one thing at a time, and sometimes even one thing is too much for it.

Did you do anything specific to get it to trigger? Delete/re-download?
 
Breaking news…they took it away. The PIP is no longer an option on my iPad. WTF. How could they just remove it?
