always blows my mind how much you guys have to pay for TV in the US. I pay 50 Euro for internet and the complete SKY HD package combined
You can't put a price on freedom! 😄 /s

Don’t know about all these services but $165 seems way over $65![]()
You can't replace it for content like sports and news.
Cable isn’t much more at this point. My in-laws got a good deal internet and I think 50 channels for $25 a month in Florida.i'm starting to forget why i cancelled cable in the first place.
You still need Internet on top of that $65 a month.Don’t know about all these services but $165 seems way over $65![]()
Man, I remember when Direct TV NOW offered a free Apple TV 4k for pre paying 3 months @ $35.
What a deal!
Comes down to the live tv. Without that you can do reasonable well. Why is this so expensive anyway? I mean, for $65 a month you can subscribe to pretty much all the major streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Hulu, CBS) and watch pretty much everything.
Yea but you live in Europe... I would rather live in US and pay more
Then stuck paying for their equipment and bs fees. Sure they will give discount but might not even cover those charges.Exactly. I recently quit cable and started using YTTV and now I may go back.
👏
This is the calculus the internet intelligencia ignores. Once you start paying for additional boxes and add-ons, Cable/Dish price is orders of magnitude (still) higher. And it's a superior service to Dish.
I'm a YoutubeTV subscriber and Dish refugee. I'm not happy about the increase. I'm not happy there are no tiers. But it is still better than the old life.
We have to pay such high prices in the USA for TV if we don't want actors to starve to death.
YouTube TV is great for live sports with DVR - but man, I don't remember paying $65/mo for sports channels ever.
Then how do we justify buying $1000 phones and 60" TVs?
I hope this and PSVue leaving altogether shows everyone finally that it’s not the Cable company gouging you. It’s the content owners that are raising their prices and this that is passed to customers.
This is the main reason Netflix started owning content and everyone else is doing the same.
it’s baffling to me how one of the richest companies in the world can justify a rate increase right now...for channels nobody was asking for. It’s absurd.
Some of us enjoy live sports, news and ability to channel surf.So I pay under $20 a month for Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Why would I pay Youtube a ridiculous amount of money for what might as well be cable and all the rubbish that comes with it.
