The engine can perform, but the car doesn't have enough space for a large enough radiator.
Old /.er alert!

Intel doesn't help with their cheap-ass way of connecting the heat spreader. I mean, why is delidding even a thing? Because Intel cheaped out!Seems like apple’s fault, not intel’s, if it’s true. Apple designed the thermal solution for the MBP.
To be fair, this isn't so much Apple's fault as it is Intel's. Intel has really dropped the ball in the past couple of years. If they don't right the ship soon, AMD will take over the CPU game for a while. They are late with everything and are having lots of trouble shrinking the dies.
They are heavier and thicker than the macbook pro right? I guess in a heavy laptop with good cooling system it won't throttle. However, i looked at some reviews of aero 15x with 1070 and i7 8 gen, which is thin, performed without throttling under heavy loads. It seems that apple wanted to put the latest processor just because of peer pressure without thinking about the heating issueI have a few
1 Dell Inspiron with Intel core i5 6200u with igpu
2 Acer Helios 300 budget gaming laptop. 8th gen i5 with 6cores and I believe a GTX 1060

Even if u look at the new Asus laptop with core i9 and a gtx 1080 (I forgot the name of that laptop) it still doesn't throttle under synthetic load.
AMD taking over the CPU game? APPLE is going to take over the CPU game in the near future.
Apple seems to be only interested in iphone and ipad.AMD taking over the CPU game? APPLE is going to take over the CPU game in the near future.
Ah, but because some random guy on YouTube made the claim it is Mac Rumors front page news! LOL.
That's the thing. Not many people realise, these YouTube guys earn enormous amount of money by creating a video like this. They would not give a flying monkey if the credibility of their claim get questioned, as long as you watch their video. Not saying this guy is wrong or right and I have zero knowledge on the new MacBook pros. Just saying that big claims from YouTuner's I usually see them as a click bait, especially when they are related to some sort of "scandal" with big companies.
No one better then YouTubers knows that people are hugely interested on negativity, and that's the kind of video they want to watch. And YouTubers would work hard to deliver just that.

If this is true? What's the point of spending the extra $300 for the Core i9 when it performs worse than the i7?
So, basically never unless you work in a freezer or just for a very short moment. As I am writing this on my 2015 MBP with CPU at only 13%, all 4 cores are already above 50°C and fans are already spinning at an annoying noise level.Well Duh. It's in the specs. What macbook ever runs below 50c?
The 4.8 GHz can only be reached using the "Thermal Velocity Boost" which allows one core to boost to 4.8 GHz (+200 MHz) as long as the CPU temperature is below 50°C. Multiple cores can be boosted +100 MHz below 50°C.

I have an i9, 32GB, 1TB in front of me. Two questions..
How do I perform the test your looking for and does it hinder the integrity of the laptop to run said test?
Answer those and I’ll run tests right now for you guys.
My maxed out 15" gets here tomorrow, I will post some results.
If anyone could recommend a great notebook cooler that they have tested and tried would be great.
