You guys constantly lobby for ARM chips as much as Videophiles lobby for OLED screens. What are ARM chips and why are they so coveted?

Are these the only two bullets in your gun? 'Cuz you shoot 'em an awful lot. I'm guessing it's a derringer.:p:D
Yes why is is this front page news other than a shameless attempt to generate more traffic.
They want every article to generate traffic. It's how they eat.

Except apparently much thicker machines have the same issues with these chips.
You're 100% right. Other machines are struggling with the i9. What does that have to do with this story about the MBP?

Actually, both CPUs should be effectively the SAME. Both are rated at 45 TDP. (that is not the watts used, but the average power in watts that the processor dissipates when operating at Base Frequency).

Are they the same size though? The extreme desktop parts are much larger than their normal counterparts.

LinusTechTips has like 10 million subs, and their videos are less than 1M views...

Seems legit.

And YouTube keeps posting that BS in front of me, I already disliked, reported and selected that I don't want nothing about that.

No use, YouTube keeps pushing it.

The same can be said about EverythingApplePro, Tailosive, MKBHD, etc. etc. etc.

Just because I'm interested in technology, doesn't mean I'm interested in that BS.
you are a hater Lmaoooo

Why doesn't MacRumors also posts the Linus Tech Tips video?

He starts right at the beginning by calling out MacRumors as a pro-Apple blog that spins his narrative.

Is that true?

Hoped that MacRumors editors had learned the lesson about YouTubers right now, but looks like they didn't.

Never.

As long as these YouTubers keep receiving money from Apple competitors, and keep generating buzz == views == money == reach == interest from sponsors == more money.

How ignorant can you be? Grow up. Apple is selling garbage admit it.

That is why Geekbench and Cinebench results are entirely different. This is a huge disappointment for me.

I didnt get any throttling during an after effects bench mark test both on single and multi core test. I think his i9 is iBroke.

Yeah, but do you have 1.4 million subscribers?

That's why MacRumors won't post your results to the front page.

Cant even sustain base speeds !!! Apple has been giving stepmotherly treatment to its mac lineup for a long time now. Maybe they saw the backlash and decided to just stuff a powerful cpu in their anaemic laptop without any redesign, which nobody asked for (thinness I mean) in the first place, definitely not the pro users.

ARM is what every iOS device and smartphone uses. They are RISC like the former PowerPC CPUs instead of the more commonly used CISC. They don't manufacture CPUs like Intel but license their designs so that companies can make custom modified designs instead. I believe it is also cheaper and gives companies more flexibility.

To be fair the i9 is simply an option. It is available and they are offering it for those who want it. It is neither mandatory nor is it a mainstream CPU. Most people are never going to buy i9s and Xeons.
