I received my invisibleshield for the macbook pro a few days ago. It is not like adding a shield for the iPhone, iPad, or any small device. There are far too many pieces... and the thought of squirting the shields as much as I "should" was not appealing.

As part of their 45 day guarantee, I decided to send it back. Based on how I use my Macbook Pro, I'd rather have something to protect it between locations than a invisible shield. I ended up getting this:

I've got an invisible shield for everything else, but I just didn't think it was worth it for the Macbook Pro. However, if I do come by a mall booth selling/installing the shield, I'll bite. They do an amazing job.

All Best Buy's with Geek Squads will install the Shields, and generally don't charge as much.

Hmmm... I might just keep the shield and head over to a best buy then. Thanks!

I think it is around $35-$40. I got lucky and he charged me the price for an iPad install, $15. It's beautiful now, really pleased.

Can you tell us how much they charge at the best buy?

Also I to the guy that wanted to get carbon fiber send me a PM and I found some really good carbon fiber stuff that might interest you.

Also my order will be arriving soon cant wait tell it comes, then I only have to wait to buy my MBP but I might be waiting for awhile :( (until the back to school special)

Hey there folks... Has anyone out there gotten an Invisishield on their new MBP? Review?

I have a personal 15" i5 that I am considering one for, but don't want the invisishield to appear too glossy once applied. How does it look? Any pictures?

Thanks!

I personally do not like the invisishield, get the incase neoprene plus sleeve if your still looking.

Kind of funny reading the comments regarding the install of these on the macbooks. I do vehicle car wraps and full body car graphics, so applying a clear protectant film on a laptop would be a breeze.

I am going to look into how I can wrap my macbook pro in matte white once I get it. However, the speaker holes are going to be the biggest thread/problem for me if I did this, on the 17" model.

I detail my cars, never wrapped cars but think the carbon fiber vinyl would look really nice to have on my MBP but as its new I want to show off its beauty and therefore I am choose the clear, but maybe once I am bored with the Aluminum Ill do that...btw if you want the me to PM with a link of really good carbon fiber vinyl (of course its not real carbon fiber but still a good imitation)

I am in socal too (OC). I stock all sorts of materials, since I use it for various car wraps/graphics.

Here's what my CF looks like, for those who are curious.

Since you're local, maybe you can check it out in person and decide the quality of it yourself :)

Can't PM you, but if you're interested in some materials, shoot me a e-mail at donathon@gmail.com.

material looks good does it have the weaved texture to it. BTW what kind of cars are you into (im into imports mainly, but also into Euros).

What kind of car(s) do you drive? I might be a sponsor on that forum :)

I am mainly a Euro guy (Porsche and BMW background).

The cf vinyl is really nice. There's a textured feel to it as well, which gives it that cf look. Nothing like the old cf vinyl that people may be used to seeing, which was poor quality and very crappy looking.

If you were to do a cut out for a MBP 13" I would be interested, just the back of the screen or the palm rest tho

Actually if anyone has the clear invishield or something similar, I can make a scan of it and make it for you guys, if you wanted to do that.

Does anyone know where I go to get my money back (45-day money back guarantee)? I received my shield scratched and I decided that if they're going to send me a scratch proof item scratched, I should go with wrapsol. And do you know if they will the cover the shipping cost?

Thanks

I've tried all the films over the years. HUGE fan of the Wrapsol. Nice, matte texture, easy to apply, holds up well. Just put wrapsol on my 2010 MPB.

That looks absolutely amazing. Definitely getting a Wrapsol for my new mbp
