I am using Zaggsparq since 8 months and it's working fine, having no issues with it. I bought this when there was 50% on it means at that time the price was $200 and i got it for $99.99. At that time this was a good deal.

now the price is 99.99 and I get it for 50% off...xp
and I bought some shields as well for iPads and iPhone

I bought the Zaggsparq when ZAGG first released them and don't remember the price ever being $200. It was $99.99 and they had a special prior to Christmas at half off. Considering all the failure rates, $49 was still to much. I can't imagine paying $200, not even now for the fixed Zaggsparq 2.0.

And while ZAGG corrected the issue where of the Sparq not charging other devices, they haven't addressed how quickly it dissipates its own power when not used. It seems to have a very short shelf life in the real world, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a backup power supply.

Well I used my Zaggsparq 2.0 after it was charged up fully and didn't get 4 full charges to my iPhone like ZAGG claims I should. I got 1 full charge and 3 half charges. On the final charge to my iPhone it stopped charging it and almost seemed like my iPhone was charging the Sparq. Not having a good feeling about this so far.

Here is another interesting issue I discovered about my new Zaggsparq 2.0. I just fully charged it up for 9 hours and it showed 4 LEDs (100%), then connected my iPhone with an almost fully depleted battery. Upon completing the iPhone charge, my Sparq now only shows 2 LEDs (50%) of power left. Are you kidding me ZAGG?

it seems like the LED will drop by 1 when it is not at 100%. So you might still have enough charges for 3 more charges but Sparq just does not reflect properly.

Does anyone know if there is a USB to MagSafe charging adapter? This would be very cool if it could charge my Macbook Pro. Or are there any portable MacBook chargers available?

Do you mean 75%? Each light should represent an iPhone charge.

Dont think it works that way. 100% is 4 LEDs, once it goes to about 97 or 98% then it drops to 3 LED. So I am guessing that he has 51-70% charge left on his Sparq but the circuit would only light up 2 due to the logic.

Okay I think I get now what you are saying. 2 LED's could mean there is still 74% of charge left in the device and not 50% of charge as ZAGG's instructions state. Oh and it's my Sparq.

tm.chen, you were right. I did another full charge on my iphone with the Sparq that started at 2 LED's and after the charge it was still at 2 LED's. So I am at 2 full charges from the Sparq to my iPhone and showing 2 LED's.

My other Zaggsparq 2.0 has been shelved after a full 9 hour charge, and after about a week it is now down to 3 LED's. So if the Sparq loses 1% per day, as ZAGG claims, then this Sparq should be down 7% and have a total charge of 93%. This means 3 LED's equals 75 to 99% of charge left and appears to be doing as expected.

Can't say I am still to pleased with how quickly the Zaggsparq 2.0 loses a charge. With those numbers you would rarely ever get 4 full iPhone charges out of the device. And considering it takes 9 full hours to recharge the Sparq, it's not something you can just top off before leaving on a trip. Probably works better for iPhone half charges.

Today my other shelves Zaggsparq 2.0 is now down to 2 LED's. I very disappointed at how quickly this device loses a full charge.

Nobody will ever be able to get 4 full iPhone charges out of this thing!

Just got my Sparq 2.0 but the button is in a permanent compressed state. Anyone got ideas on how to fix it?

If that button stays depressed then I assume your LED lights won't come on? Because if this button is always in the on position, then your batteries are most likely dead, due to the energy draw from the LED's. I would just inform ZAGG and get a replacement. Here we go again, more ZAGG quality control drama.

Just got an email of a confirmation of ZAGG receiving the ZAGGsparq 1.0 after 3 weeks from envelope drop. Hopefully I'll get the ZAGGsparq 2.0 1-2 weeks because currently they're out of stock! Maybe the next batch might not have that battery shelving problem.

I seriously doubt that ZAGG has redesigned the Zaggsparq 2.0 from what it just released. They hadn't even admitted that there was a shelf life issue with the first Zaggsparq, let alone version in 2.0. In fact, ZAGG claims a 1% loss per day of battery power is normal. And with that math, there is no way to get 4 full iPhone charges out of the device in 4 days, if you charged it up once per day.

I just dont understand why the conversations continue?

Sparq 2.0 is no better than the previous.

Return the units and get a refund.

While I agree the Zaggsparq has been a big disappointment, your comparison is off a bit. I have owned the Xbox (white version) since it's release and have not had one problem with it. But in general, all modern electronic devices have a very short life span due mainly to changing technology. And we live a disposable world where things aren't built to last anymore.

I charged my Zaggsparq 2.0 for a full 9 hours last night. Then I charged my iPhone with it today. When the charge was completed, I checked the Sparq and only have 2 LED's lit.

It's down at least 50% after only one use of charge? Are you kidding me ZAGG!

Doesn't the light go out after 1% past the quarter? So, 3 lights COULD mean 99% and 2 lights COULD mean 74%? That's how I always understood it as their system.

You are right, I keep forgetting that.

Still, seems like it should have been at least at 75%, considering the unit itself was just fully charged up the night before.
