AT&T Confirming Shipment of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

I placed my order at 12:45 PST on the 15th and I have gotten no word of shipping as of yet. Also it says placed on the 16th. What should I do?

Wait. There isn't anything you can do. They are working to get everything packaged and updated, give them time.

Hello All,

I took the liberty of calling FedEx, yes, mine was shipped on the 17th, but the notes on the FedEx order instruct them to hold til the 23rd. The women was nice enough to give me the info, so it may be a waste of time to keep checking. She said they are in the possession of the packages at FedEx...yay
 
Mine was ordered after the AT&T server came back up and it show to be shipped W/Tracking number. They were taking orders on paper.

Ordered mine online from AT&T on the 15th at 12:30 PM.

No updated order status until the following morning.

No email until the day after that.

But 15 min's ago (yes, been checking every 30 minutes :) ), this appeared.

Still no additional email as of yet, but I'm hopeful for a Wed or Thur at the latest delivery. :)
 
Mine is showing shipped 6/17 as well. Although like others there's no info on Fedex's site about my tracking numbers. Also, I still have not been charged for it. Weird. But I'm just glad to see it move!
Edit: BTW, I ordered 6/15 at about 4AM MST.

It then goes on to tell you to connect it to iTunes.

Of course, in my order confirmation email I got a link to click on to activate the phone, so perhaps this is just an extra step in order to avoid someone stealing your shipment and activiting the phone.

I never had this step when I ordered from Apple.

With the shared volume of this delivery we probably won't see detailed tracking.
 
I ordered at 4 AM CST through AT&T. Got an email at 830 AM saying there was a problem with credit card, called them, got the problem fixed by 840 AM.

Didn't get confirmation emails till 830 PM!!

Still says in progress. Don't know what time of day my order actually went through.
 
I ordered two on the morning of 6/15 at 7:00am EDT and just received two emails confirming that they have shipped and it may be 72 hours before FEDEX's tracking system is updated. Mine show they were shipped on June 20th.

On a related note, I received an email from Hardy Macia yesterday (author of Pocket Money and MPG) and he says that there is a bug that causes a decimal point to not show up on the keyboard in the custom number entry field. He says that Apple is behind in approving APP updates so people may want to wait to upgrade their iOS 4 until the updates get approved. There is a work around of copying and pasting a decimal point into the field if you need one.
 
Ordered a 32 GB at 5:00 am EST on 6/15 through AT&T Premier. Last night I saw a tracking number show up but no carrier was listed. It just said "null" instead of FedEx. Got the shipping confirmation e-mail though at about 10:00 am on 6/21.
 
Order Status

Well, mine changed this morning, but still doesn't say shipped. Before, it was listed as backordered, and now it's not. The status still says "In progress"

I have a FexEx number now. I ordered from the ATT B&M store @ 8:30 PM Eastern time on the 15th. Mine was showing backordered for about one day and disappeared on the 16th.

Interesting that the delivery date for many people is the 23rd. If true, then maybe Apple is doing that to split the day 1 activations between the 23rd (FedEx) and 24th (in-store pickups).

Also, if everyone activates their iPhones within an hour of delivery, the activations in the U.S would more or less be staggered by time zone on the 23rd. Might help to cushion the impact on AT&T's servers (he said, crossing his fingers.)

I'm just glad to see a order date of 6/16 that has shipped...there may be hope yet. :eek:

I ordered at about 6:30am and mine showed in Progress as well. I tried to check on the regular site and no luck. Then went back and mine now shows shipped. So looks like they are still processing them. I imagine yours will show Shipped now or very soon.

Although I have a tracking number, it's not yet in FedEx's system to see delivery date.
 
AT&T Premier Shipping Notice

Just got my shipping notice with FedEx tracking number (not functional yet on the FedEx website)... Order was placed about 3:15am Central on the 15th at the AT&T premier website. Everything we've ever ordered from Premier goes 2-day FedEx. If the same holds true, hopefully FedEx actually picks this thing up tomorrow for Thursday delivery!

I'm in the same boat with you guys. Ordered on the 15th via attwireless.com, but the order date showed as 6/16. Nothing ever showed as backordered for me. I just checked and I have a FedEx tracking number. Hang in there, guys!
 
To the people that ordered smoothly in the morning (1AM-9AMish), QUIT WORRYING. My god, you ordered before most people, you have absolutely NO reason to be concerned unless there was a payment problem. Just settle down!

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on the 15th during the day (sorry didn't mark down exact time...actually did it just for fun) PST and it says ordered on the 16th and In Progress.
 
Why bother holding them an extra day? The thing was leaked early, then announced a few weeks ago. The surprise is over.

Then on order day they sold enough to bring AT&T to it's knees just in the ordering process. So, I hope they do ship some early so I don't have any problem activating mine.

FWIW - I got an email saying mine will arrive before 6:30PM on the 23rd. From there perspective, there isn't much difference between 6PM on the 23rd and 10AM on the 24th. I say get them out in a staggered approach so as not to kill AT&T again.

Having said that, I bet I get mine on the 24th!
