AT&T Confirming Shipment of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

Status vastly improved

32GB black pre-ordered from Apple on Jun-15 at 7:39 PM PDT. Through Jun-20 had been showing "Ships by: July 2nd".

This morning I received email from Apple with shipping info and a working FedEx tracking number. The unit left China and this morning is in Hong Kong. The expected delivery date is Jun-23, and I expect FedEx will hold it until Jun-24.

So, originally I looked to be in the "second wave" of pre-order deliveries, but now it appears that I am among the first wave. Hopefully many others will be pleasantly surprised, too.

Not Backordered anymore, but not shipped either

My order no longer shows backordered, but it doesn't show shipped either. I hope it doesn't slip...I listed my 3GS on ebay and it sold in like 2 minutes. I had to ship it out this morning. I'm on some crappy old Samsung phone. I forgot how painful life is without the iPhone.

My premier order status says shipped with what appears to be a Fedex tracking number, but for whatever reason it says carrier is "null"

Also, my contract end has been changed to "06/21/2012"!!

Same story here. Ordered 6/15 at an AT&T store, around 12:30-1:00 EDT. Just saw the new status, but no info on FedEx. I wonder if their servers are getting slammed like AT&T's were.

I'll be honest, I'm a little scared for activation day.

Weird that it doesn't show my SIM card like it does for some of you...

I pre-ordered on the 15th through AT&T. I think I finally got my order to go through around 11:30 am. It said that my order date was 6/16, which made me nervous. However, it now says that my phone has been shipped!

I highly doubt that anyone will receive theirs before Friday.

I wouldn't worry about FedEx being able to handle the load. They are sized to handle holiday volumes...this is small change for them.

My situation is similar. I place my order on 6/15 at 12:45 PM MST and my order shows up as 6/16 through the status page. My card (Visa Check Card, not through debit) showed a charge the following day, but it is now gone. But, I also use Mint.com and I can still see the charge as pending through there. So, the account may still have a hold on the funds. I am hopeful that I made it before the AT&T implosion.

I ordered 6/15. Shows shipped 6/17. I payed with debit card. Have not been charged yet. Never recieved an email from AT&T or FED EX that it has been shipped, just shows it has under Order Status.

I used a debit card. I haven't received a single e-mail from AT&T regarding the iPhone 4 order throughout the entire process (and they have my correct e-mail address on file.) I currently have a FedEx tracking number on my order, but no charge has completely posted to my debit card yet.

When I first placed the order on 6/15, there was a $1.00 pre-auth charge from AT&T. Then, it changed to the full amount for the iPhone 4 order on 6/16. By 6/19, the pre-auth had fallen off my account completely and all the money was back in my account. From what others here have said, the charge for my order will likely show up again once the phone actually goes out the door.

I ordered one around 8:40am on 15th, it just turned to shipped at 11:30am today.

I have another order around 12:35pm still processing, so your order should be shipped soon.

I ordered mine from the Apple website on June 15 at around 7pm EST, never got any problems with it. At first, opted to pick the phone up in the store, read the email that said: first come-first serve, didn't like it at all, cancelled the pre-order. Then pre-ordered to be delivered at the door. Everything went through smoothly. Got my delivery date of June 24 right away; got ATT email with CSS details, got my ATT status updated, got my credit card charged, now see 'Ready for Shipment' and waiting for the phone to be shipped soon

I pre-ordered on the 15th and AT&T put a hold on my card immediately, they have yet to release the hold, or charge me. Either charge me or release the hold, putting a hold on the card for almost a week is ridiculous.

It has said "In Progress" since the 16th when I got the confirmation email. I still hopeful that I will probably get my phones on the 24th at my AT&T store.

hmm, my order states 6/16 although I ordered on the 15th. On my order status I haven't received tracking information... do you think this might mean that they are shipping those that went through the system on the 15th only?

Somehow I doubt it.. because when I ordered the system was still crappin out, wasn't shut down whatsoever. I hope i'm right at least

Pre-ordered 32gb black on the 15th at around 7pm CDT and was always on the June 24 delivery date. Got my shipment confirmation this morning from Apple with FedEx tracking number.

FedEx says it left Shenzen on the 20th of June with est. delivery of 6/23.

Gonna be a long week waiting on that phone to get here.

thanks for the response. well that makes me feel a bit better. i placed my order ont he 15th around 12:30-1 pm. got an e-mail instantly, seen the pre-auth charged on my card, than it got taken out. just anxious as the rest of us who have yet to be SHIPPED. . it's never been on back order so that's a plus. just want it shipped already

Have faith, when I called AT&T they said that my order on the 15th that says the 16th should still be here on the 24th. Even if it is delayed, I wouldn't think you will really be pushed back all the way until the 2nd.
