How come mine doesn't require a signature, but it seems like everyone else's does?

when i called this morning, before it was in transit, fedex said it did not require a signature, but when i called a second, after noting it was in transit, she said it did require an indirect signature, which means a note was just fine.
 
I got mine today, June 22

iphone 4 was just received from fedex at 10:AM pacific time here in the Bay Area.
 
this just doesn't look right...
ordered through premier at 11am CST, recieved confirmation. Order date is the 15th through premier, but it's the 19th and backordered on the regular att site. Anyone have this happened to them and has had their shipping go through? Mine was for an upgrage from the original iphone.

Mine is the same, except on the regular AT&T site it shows that I ordered on the 17th... I have a feeling i've been shafted by AT&T - yet again.
 
Premier Order wasteland

Ordered 32GB on the 15th at 12:30pm EST through the Premier websote and received a confirmation email immediately.

The Premier website correctly lists the order date and lists the order status as "processing". The regular ATT order status page lists the order date as the 16th and the status as "backordered".

WTF ATT, WTF.....:confused:
 
I ordered on 6/15 11:30am EST. ATT order status show In Progress with no shipping information or anything

I called AT&T and they actually gave me a FedEx tracking # and said "it was process and shipped" despite what it says online. When I tracked it online, it says delivered 6/19, but clearly it didn't. I talked to FedEx and they don't even see the tracking # in their internal system (the rep said their online/internal systems are different - altho you'd think the data is the same).

Very confused...

what number did you call to speak to somebody that gave you a tracking number?

Edit: I'm a new ATT customer so I dont really know which numbers work and which numbers just keep you on hold for hours before you give up lol
 
For those getting a text message, what's the URL that explains how to activate an iPhone?

Mine is the same, but I ordered even earlier -- a little after 8AM EDT. Who knows why we're at the bottom of the queue?

Nevermind this... this person at AT&T gave me tracking information from my 3GS a year ago. WTF is wrong with them?

Same situation with premiere here. I ordered the 15th at 7 am EST. Got an email right away. Mine shows ordered 19th and backordered.

FWIW-- re: AT&T delivery 6/23

AT&T called me today in response to the message I had left with their ECOM department on the 15th when, like many of us, I couldn't get any confirmation that the order I placed that morning had entered their system. The CSR who telephoned certainly sounded much more senior that anyone I had ever reached at AT&T, and she took the time to check multiple AT&T systems to answer my questions.

In any case, she did say, quite definitively, that she had been told yesterday, through a memo from her management, that iPhone 4s ordered through AT&T would not be held by UPS/FedEx, and that it was likely that mine (currently in transit from Memphis per UPS.com) would be delivered tomorrow.

Normally I take anything an AT&T CSR says with a truckload of salt, but this woman seemed very credible, even if her credibility was somewhat enhanced by my pathological desire that she be correct.

I called AT&T because i haven't received any confirmation emails, and they said they put the wrong email address...they are so outrageous.
 
Im not sure if everyone realizes this but everyone who's status at least says "In Progress" will receive the phone by the 24th. All of the devices are in Texas and are being distributed. They are all being overnighted by FedEx too so there is nothing to worry about
