FWIW-- re: AT&T delivery 6/23
AT&T called me today in response to the message I had left with their ECOM department on the 15th when, like many of us, I couldn't get any confirmation that the order I placed that morning had entered their system. The CSR who telephoned certainly sounded much more senior that anyone I had ever reached at AT&T, and she took the time to check multiple AT&T systems to answer my questions.
In any case, she did say, quite definitively, that she had been told yesterday, through a memo from her management, that iPhone 4s ordered through AT&T would not be held by UPS/FedEx, and that it was likely that mine (currently in transit from Memphis per UPS.com) would be delivered tomorrow.
Normally I take anything an AT&T CSR says with a truckload of salt, but this woman seemed very credible, even if her credibility was somewhat enhanced by my pathological desire that she be correct.
