AT&T Confirming Shipment of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

I just got the same SMS and I checked my status on ATT and it is still in progress with no shipping details.
Premier order placed 6/15 at 10am CST, received confirmation email 2 min later. Premier site shows order date of 6/15 and status = in processing. AT&T site shows order date of 6/16 and was in back order until this morning, now showing 1's in quantity ordered but no shipping date yet. The question I have is - my credit card has not been billed yet. Should I be worried? It seems like there has at least been some movement. Any other Premier orders have this issue?
hah, well i mean i want to be there to get the phone. lol. if leaving a note is the case, i'll just leave one with the old man, mayte...
but mine is getting shipped through ups.i never got an e-mail or anything, nor does it show the expected delivery date. so i doubt it.
I never got one email from ATT throughout this whole process, except I just got a text message "Congratulations on your iPhone 4 upgrade..." Anyways, mine says it'll be here tomorrow.
My phone is on it's way to me, and my card still hasn't been charged, so I definitely wouldn't worry.
LOL.. that's how blunt they are. it's like theres absolutely no communication on their end at all thruogh this ordeal,but as soon as it ships. "congratulations on your iphone 4"

I'm mainly a lurker on this site but try to follow things pretty closely. Over the last few days I've given up being angry at this whole freak show and am just biding my time until I can move my service elsewhere.
I ordered my phone via AT&T's site on the morning of the 15th at 11:07 am and used my company VISA card. Never got a confirmation but figured things were busy and I'd get it sooner or later. The next morning, however, it showed "Canceled".
I called AT&T, was on hold for about 45 minutes and was told that my card was declined. Never had that happen, so asked them to run it again and was told everything was fine and on track.
Next morning...canceled again. Called again. Told declined again. Gave my personal MasterCard in order to keep things moving. Told that was declined. Asked her to re-run it...same thing. Out of desperation, gave her my only other card and it went through.
Next morning, I had two phones on order. Called again. Got one canceled and kept the other one. Only now, I had a "pending" charge of $321.57 on two different accounts and was told those would remain up to 14 days. Still arguing with them about that!
As of today, I show I'm still "In Progress", AT&T tells me I have an order date of the 15th but my status shows an order date of the 17th due to the credit card fiasco. At this point, I've just given up on obsessing about it...whatever happens, happens!

I just checked with my bank and I don't see any charges made to my cc, nor do I see the on-hold status that was there before. Weird, huh?
Then when I go to FedEx's website with my tracking # given by AT&T's check order status page, it's still not in their system. AT&T says my order shipped. FedEx doesn't even know it exists yet.
Playing this waiting game is FUN!

Further update on Premier customers

Just now received the email for my 2nd Premier order (32GB). As you know I had already checked the regular order status page and that showed the shipment about an hour ago and tracking number which shows tomorrow delivery. Now when I check the Premier site that too is showing the updated shipping info. Obviously latency between AT&T systems
Now we all just have to worry (Premier folks) about all calling at the same time to activate our new devices We should stay tuned in this thread and keep each other updated.
For those that have seen their order status change or are worried I would say hang in there, clearly the AT&T systems are still not together and with order going out today then I would imagine a number of you that got caught up in late ordering etc could still see changes later today or even tomorrow.
What a mess, every year its the same. Hopefully AT&T take some of the revenue they are reaping from all of us and upgrade their systems, this time testing months before launch. Capacity management 101 !!!!

For all you freaking about having not reeived a shipped date and your order saying you placed it on the 16th or later, stop worrying. I called their escalations department and found out my order was already processed and had a FedEx tracking number that was active. Even though when I check the order status website for At&t and it says in progress still.
The number I called was 877.782.8870 I put in my order number and when it told me the status of my order I then hit "0". It brought me to a live person and then I asked them to check my status. The lady told me that it was still in progress and I asked her to send me to escalations.
After about 50 minutes on hold I finally got someone and they looked up my order and told me it was processed and had a tracking number.
I then went on Fedex.com and tracked my package. It is now saying it will be delivered on the 23rd by 3:00pm.

How is it that I get an upgrade every year with a new two year contract? I just got the iPhone 4 but my eligibility is 6/17/2011. Just in time for the iPhone 5

Calling that number I just get "your items are on back-order"

Haven't called, but fedex is showing my phone as "picked up" in Fort Worth, TX with an estimated delivery date of 6/23 - 3pm...have to assume this means my order is valid.
Mine says "by 3 PM" tomorrow, shipped via FedEx out of Fort Worth Texas. Going with the information that Apple's orders ARE going to be delivered on the 23rd, I'm hoping that the same is true of orders made through AT&T.
We'll see. I'm actually a bit...I don't know...worried about it being delivered early, because there aren't any cases out for it yet. I refuse to pay 30 dollars for a bumper that doesn't even cover the screen or the back. Apple should have gotten the iPhone 4 design to third party accessory designers earlier so this could have been avoided. If anyone knows of a shipping case (other than the bumper) I could have overnighted, please let me know. /tangent

After being "In progress" forever and checking obsessively every 30 minutes, my status finally get updated and I have a tracking number. Looks like my phone is in Fort Worth, TX, just up the road from where I live in Austin.
If you don't have your tracking yet, hopefully AT&T just hasn't entered it yet. Maybe you'll even have the phone on your doorstep and the site will still say "In progress"?

ordered through premier at 11am CST, recieved confirmation. Order date is the 15th through premier, but it's the 19th and backordered on the regular att site. Anyone have this happened to them and has had their shipping go through? Mine was for an upgrage from the original iphone.
