How do you know this? My order has said "In Progress" since the 16th. I have never been "back ordered" but I still haven't received any information about shipping yet.

"In Progress" since 16th .... had the order on a piece of paper at ATT on the 15th.

This is my exact situation. I think they are shipping in phases. I still have hope for the 24th. I'm still going to show up at my local AT&T store early and line jump past all the people without pre-orders.
Was the Sim card programmed in with your number? I used my wife's upgrade to get the phone but she's getting my 3GS.
Anyone's tracking number still not attached to anything? My order said it shipped on the 17th and I'm seeing all these people being able to track their order and mine still says that there's no information according to FedEx.

I had the wife actually go in and order cause I couldn't get through online while at work.
And now there are people (at least person..lol) using the iPhone 4..
I don't think so, but, remember, the iphone 4 uses a micro sim card that does not fit into a 3GS and visa versa. The 3GS uses a standard sized sim card, like every other GSM phone in the world.
I called FedEx because when I check on all three tracking numbers I was given (I pre-ordered three phones on the 15th) all say that there's no information for the number... anyways, called FedEx and talked to a woman there that looked up the tracking number, she said that according to what she see's the item is in Fort Worth, Texas and there's a note on the system that information on the package was to be held until the 23rd and that's why I can't get any tracking info. She said that as of this morning it's in Texas with a delivery date of the 24th. Who knows what's going on.
Are any of the AT&T tracking numbers for a 32gb? Maybe that specific combo is "in progress" or "back-ordered"?
I super envy you! My status is still 101 since I ordered it on 1:30 EDT 6/15 via premier...AT&T really wants to f**k those customers who get a slight service discount.
Check on the regular AT&T search page too as the premier is giving me no info but the regular search gave a tracking number.
