I was finally able to use the UPS "trick" to get a tracking number. Apple.com still shows preparing for shipment. I ordered the 16 gig black on ATT about 2 PM CST on 10/7. *edit* I used order number minus two digits on UPS without putting in zipcode /*edit*
Current status shows arriving at Chep Lap Kok, Hong Kong at 5:15 PM local time on 10/12. I would guess that this would put it on UPS flight 63 which is schedule to depart at 7:15 per Flightaware. Would anybody else agree?

Okay so mine just left hongkong at 4:20 PM does this mean I'm in Flight UPS63 heading to anchorage and louisville?

But Flight 61 left 4:05 AM EST, right? so its also 4:05 PM in hong kong
so how come mine has a departure scan of 4:20 PM, 15 minutes after the flight?
It takes a little while for the scan to go through the system usually. Sometimes you won't get the scan to show up until halfway through the flight.
Wow how old are you guys...you have nothing better to do than track the flight that your iPhone is on? LOL Tracking its UPS tracking # should suffice, no?
Direct non-stop to Alaska according to flightstats. Flight 63 is only three hours later so no big difference either way.

Why is mine being shipped via FedEx and most of you are on UPS. Is it because I ordered via AT&T?
Mine shipped from Shenzhen a few hours ago. I ordered a white 64GB and AT&T is my provider. I'm stoked!

I got mine around 7:30am also & mine says it's in China as of 10/12 4:50pm. So I signed up for SMS notification. Anyway, as soon as I sign up, I get a text saying as of 10/12 4:51pm it's in Louisville, KY. That's a hell of a trip in one minute. Nine hours into the future.
Anyway, did anybody else sign up for text notifications?

It might says "In Transit to" does it says "In transit in"? because i tried iship.com and newegg.com, and both says Intransit to Louisville but actually its on the plane right now
we almost have the same history, but awhile ago, i got new departure scan from Hong Kong, so its probably on the air right now
I ordered from Apple and At&t and both are using UPS. Looks like AT&T is using both Fedex and UPS depending on your location.
