I emailed staff on Magpul.com to inquire about the OD Green case that I wanted. It was on there at the beginning of the week, now it's not listed. I just wanted to know when they would restock... customer service replied quickly and said they're unsure when they would get them back in stock or not, but did suggest to order from a few of their distributors.

I ended up ordering from Brownells. They had the OD Green in stock and shipping was a little cheaper than Magpul's site. Ended up ordering the OD Green and Black. Hope I don't have any issues with the camera cutout or volume rocker. I'm excited for them to get here!

How long did it take for CS to get back to you? I'm asking because I emailed them three days ago about the issue of my case bulging out on the left upper side and have not heard back from them yet.

There were a couple of pictures where my first thought was OD Green. But then the first picture and the last few look like Foliage, so I thought it was just my eye playing tricks on me. :D

Here is my foliage case:

Literally about an hour later. That's a bumper that they're dodging your question about the product.

^^^ And your OD photos looks exactly like the color in the photos in question above. That case is too dark to be foliage, it is definitely OD Green.

No need to repost that comparison or try to educate me on those colors - I have known them all intimately for years.

And I stated that I thought it MIGHT be OD Green. But if you look at the pictures further down in that original post (that was quoted), the color looks much more like the Foliage.

The only one that definitely looks OD Green to me is the 2nd one (showing the mute switch and volume side).

The only reason I reposted those photos is that you seem to chime in every time I say something about the Foliage color (my white balance is off, I'm wrong about the OD Green/Foliage). I'm just trying to help here and you seem to take offense when someone other than you tries to help someone with a color.

I would assume, by your post, that you're either military or ex-military. If so, thank you for your service. But those of us that aren't can still tell colors apart (even "military" colors like these).

I don't take any offense, but if something is wrong, I will say so.

The only reason foliage is an issue is because it is a color a lot of people get wrong. That and FDE.

Ok. We're good then...lol. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a prick before. I was just trying to help that guy out. Carry on, everyone. :D

What I like about this exec case is that it fits so snuggly, it feels like it's part of the phone! Seriously, it's as if Apple made it this way. It's slimness adds to that feel and appeal.

The back has a perfect touch to it like it's really a just one piece phone, instead of a phone inside of a case.

I just received my case and now I know why it's been getting such good reviews. The case just fits very well and is well made. Great product!

Mine is also coming today, woohoo!

P.S. If they do come out with one with a flash ring to protect from flash glare, they should do what other respectable companies did and replace it for free.

what about the case makes you think its less protective than hundreds of other plastic cases out there?

My case came in and I guess I'm the first one that's disappointed. I knew about the flash issue but I guess I did not read enough about the head phone opening being very very narrow and it really does not give much at all drop protection. It's deceiving because if you look at it you would think it would but it really does not. For me I'll buy a head phone jack extender and since I don't drop my phone all that often I'll be fine. Now the two pink ones I got my mom and gf I'm not so sure about. My major concern is drop protection...

Too bad that you are disappointed.

I echo the other poster. What makes you think it has poor drop protection? What are you comparing it too?

From the back, top and sides, it will protect chipping, scratches and breaks. The front has a lip (exec or field) to prevent chip the top glass sides. Of course dropping it on a point of a 1/4 inch rock, straight onto the front glass, will break the glass...but that is no different than ANY case, except a Defender that gives a secondary piece of glass.

The Magpul TPU is quick thick enough and firm enough to offer protection from reasonable 3 or 5 foot drops.

What is your concern?

I'll echo it too. What are you comparing it to? A Defender...Commuter? It's much more protective than most of the slider or snap-on cases.

And as far as the headphone opening goes...I'm sorry, but how many pictures have been posted of these cases? If you couldn't infer from that many pictures how big the opening is, then that's your fault.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed...

I can vouch for the deceptively good shock absorption of the executive case. I was standing at a crosswalk on my university campus while having a conversation with a friend (phone in hand) and moving my hands a bit when I proceeded to lose grip of it, sending it flying into the intersection. The bad part is a campus bus happened to be passing by and my phone gingerly slammed into the side of it before hitting the pavement and landing face down. Anyway, the phone survived unscathed and the case was a bit marred in a few areas from where it hit the bus/ground. It definitely passed my field test.

UPDATE - I take back everything I said. As far as the flash issue, I did the sharpie trick with acrylic black paint and flash issue is now gone. Tested before and after and tested perfect. As far as the drop protection I was comparing it
to a Speck Geometric which the TPU is more absorbent but my gf already dropped her phone and it did the job just fine. Still in the hunt for
head phone extenders but for the price , I think everyone should own one of these cases. Made in America, how many products do you own with that on it. Great case, I am impressed and I'll probably rock this till iPhone 5.

Swivel Case that fits Exec Field Case-Perfectly.

Excuse me if I already posted this and posted by another. Got it this week. Very, very well made and with soft touch paint finish. I think it is the same as sold by Seido, but for only $7 with free shipping! Exec case only and fits like it was made for it!

Was actually made for bumper equipped iPhone 4, but works with Magpul just as well it seems.

Between the Magpul Exec and this...they are really cheap combination that matches more expensive items in quality. What a performance/price buster for really good iPhone accessories. I don't use belt clip much, but there are some days that it is good, and the clip is very large...good for women without belt at work or for some running with shorts. The phone is held very snugly and the belt clip is oversized.

Swivel case that fits Magpul Sold by HandHeldItems.com

$6.99 with free shipping. Very much like the Seido Innocase holster I had for the 3GS

Inner felt to prevent scratches
Strong holster clip
Swivel holster clip can be position in ranging between horizontal and vertical

Congratulations! I think the things that concern you are the difference in the front lip coverage on the Speck or NGP and the Magpul. The first two overlap the front of the phone, the Magpul doesn't (and I like that: want a free open front).

BUT, since the Magpul, like the others, have raised lips that are very firm, (don't' compress like the NGP), they give the same protection for edge damage and lay on the table IMHO. The phone landing near the edge will hit that 1 or 2 mm lip first and protect the corners and front sides.

The rest of the magpul body is solid, firm and shock absorbent. I'm very picky, and have no concern with it compared to my old NGP.

Enjoy, and I hope the girls like the pink colors. Are they very bright pink?

P.S. You know, my feeling is that having a case, that 85% of the purpose is to give a better grip so that one doesn't drop it...but if you do...then it is fit for purpose.

P.S. You can see in the photo above that I have no large gap at the volumes, and also, no hit of any oils from the case.
