Apple Asking Resellers to Triple iPad Display Space Ahead of Rumored September 12 Media Event

Your the one that needs to do some reading, the version number of 6,0 has been around since November last year. Means nothing.

It isn't obvious that he even means a new computer, let alone a new Pro desktop. Hell for all anyone knows it could be a decent update to the Logic suite.

Or iWork Pro. THe new office suite for the professional user.

Unfortunately, that's where the big money is for Apple...at least for now. iGadgets.

The Mac is relegated to also-ran in terms of revenue and profits in recent quarters. Just look at their financial reports since ca. 2005.

The writing was on the wall when they changed the company name:


Apple Inc., formerly Apple Computer, Inc.
 
Getting tired of the i-this , i-that, i-know-beta, i-fad. When I want to read about computers, now I'm forced to read about PCs. Everything written about Apple now is pad-tied. and tel-a-phoney.:(

Sadly, I've been IM'ing with a few Apple corp. friends who are praying Apple releases a new Mac Pro. Even their corp. employees, some in Pro-Aps and others in marketing, are tiring of iOS and devices.

iPad's are one of the cheapest devices Apple sells. Of course they sell well. I've lost count how many times I've been privy to "Should I get an iPad or MacBook Air?" discussions.

In the meantime, people who actually use their systems for work (you know, making a living) are leaving for other platforms. Sure, Apple will thrive in the iDevices consumer market, and other companies will scoop up the fallout and make market gains. Keep in mind, I'm an OS X guy - always have been, but Windows still holds the largest market share in the OS department. =)
 
and I forgot. Those iMacs take those down too, nobody buy those anymore no one needs a desktop computer. Customers buy a new laptop and buy a TB display.

It's upsetting so see that more store real estate will be allocated to iPads and such. If they are to add to the iPad displays that means they will have to take away from other displays. They aren't gonna take the space from the laptops. That is for sure. :( This makes me sad. What will become of our beautiful desktops.

Here is my theory: 3X space = They will start marketing the new iPhone/new iPod Touch, iPad Mini, and iPad as SMALL, MEDIUM, & LARGE, the new family of iOS devices! :cool:
