I Ordered My Retina iMac High End What did you get?

Update on my Delivery. I called Fed-Ex just to see what they would say or what excuse they would give for why it is not on a truck for delivery. Here is what they said. They told me it arrived at 5:10 am in Las Vegas, from there it goes to the sorting section, then it's placed inside some huge container that is then sealed. That container goes to the Fed-ex facility that will do the actually delivery. This happened at 7 am. Then since it is scheduled for tomorrow delivery they will not break open that sealed container until tomorrow morning since their commitment is not until tomorrow. So they basically SIT ON IT. She said there is no way it will go out for delivery today as it is not DUE to be delivered until tomorrow. So another 24 hours. This is exactly why I never use Fed-ex when I send out packages as they NEVER go above and beyond for the customer. At least I get it tomorrow. :rolleyes:

I don't even have the export scan. I am regretting the standard delivery choice and getting prepared for a delay which is likely. :(

Latest Update: Now I got this text on my iPhone which is good news I think but strange last line in the message. It says its on a Fed-ex vehicle for delivery but last line says Delivered by tommorrow. Anyway it appears to be good news. Lets see. :)

I have good news to report! I received my iMac early this morning around 10. I nearly missed it as I was sure I was going to receive it on Wednesday. First impressions...this computer is wonderful!

I'm a dork and didn't even notice the expedited shipping option! Mine hasn't cleared customs yet but I figure it will today.
 
ladies and gentleman this is why you always hold for pick up.

mine is ready this morning I'm going to pick it up now, originally shed for 10/22, maxed out BTO w/ AC

Raced home from work, got home literally with 5 minutes to spare before iMac was delivered!! :-D

Then, I had to connect to work and finish what I was doing. Just wrapping up now, set up (temporary) table to put iMac on, plus assembled new office chair to use. FINALLY going to unbox and setup my new behemoth!

Will post impressions from the iMac itself next...

WizardHunt and others, good luck getting yours!
 
Well what do you know, Mine got delivered just now. Federal Express did come through. Thank you Fed-Ex.

This is true, but it's a big ask to install Bootcamp for it. I figured WizardHunt wouldn't mind these quick ones and then we could at least compare to a 780M.

It is fast as well ... attached is a DiskSpeedTest for the 1TB SSD

I'd personally like to ask for a Geekbench, Novabench, Cinebench scores please.

You have the high end 2014 I have a high end 2013 (although not the 1TB flash)

It would be cool to have some numbers to look at of both.
 
So, yeah, the display is "you just gotta see it to believe it". Text is amazingly smooth, images are ridiculously refined looking. If you're on the fence about it, head down to your nearest Apple store or Best Buy as soon as they're in stock and take a look and see for yourself!

They included a whole bunch of 5k images for wallpapers too, so I've set those to rotate through every 30 minutes. Each one is more luscious than the last. Will install and do some gaming tonight after done w/work. So far no screen defects/smudges/yellow zones/etc.....

I still have to go get a "real" desk for it, so this is just a temporary set up:

Did you get a R9 M295X? If you did can you please run these benchmarks and post the results?
