Awesome! I get to laugh at the Apple Watch again before laughing at the people that actually wear them.

It seems quite strange Apple won't be holding an event for a brand new product, as well as a new and improved MacBook Air. Surely they just aren't going to put the Apple Watch on sale without telling us pricing, availability etc. I think they'll have an event late February.

Maybe invites go out in February and event in early March.

And then we get to laugh at you if the Apple Watch turns out to be a success. deal?

Success or not, I do find the frustration of having to deal with a 2" display on a wrist rather than just pulling out a phone laughable. I suppose there are some very specific circumstances where pulling out a phone is not an option, but the majority of people who want the Watch don't want it just because of that.

C'mon iPad Pro!

I wonder what the prices will be for the MBA12 and iPad Pro 12.2

And weight after you add a keyboard case the the iPad Pro

This may make the MBA 12 (or 11) the poor mans hybrid. The SP3 competitor, as whats the diff between an SP3 with keyboard and a MBA with keyboard? Full OS.

Seems to me like Toyota selling 1.5 litre 4 door, and a 1.6 and a 1.7

OTOH if I want to spend $x does it matter if I buy a MBA 12 or an iPad Pro? Margin either way. More choice I guess

I highly doubt this rumored event will have anything that makes it worth watching.

Been disappointed with keynotes consistently since Steve died.

I'll catch the highlights here if and when it happens.

Give me a gold one with BLACK keys.

White keys aren't even worth backlighting, and they get grungy. (Same goes for Apple's desktop keyboards. Black already please!)

(I REALLY hope it still has backlit keys. It's a luxury that might be lost--as with the 1st gen Air--for thinness/battery life.)

Nice render

The render is nice. I wonder what ports it might have on the other side?

Whoa whoa whoa... Retina? If that happens - I'm buying.

Why wouldn't that be the case? The iPad Retina already exists. Presumably this new laptop will basically be an iPad Retina with a keyboard/trackpad instead of a touch screen, OS X instead of iOS, and Intel instead of ARM.

Just give me. MBA 13' in the form factor of MBA 11'.

Don't even need to be thinner, instead, give me a bigger battery (need that for the drains of retina)

THAT IS IT. Don't mess with the ports.

That's fine, but I really hope the mockup is accurate and Apple at least gives us the option for white keys to match up with the Apple keyboard. Drives the OCD in me crazy.

Really hope we finally get the Photos app for Mac. So tired of waiting to decide which way to go off the very vague info available about it. At least give us a proper, in depth demonstration of what it will do. They say it will fill the void left by Aperture, and before I move to Lightroom out of lack of options I'd really like to at least see. What is available looks like it won't be much more useful than "Preview" let alone filling the void left by Aperture.

It'll be nice to see the other stuff too but I really hope this happens. Can't understand why they didn't get it ready BEFORE killing Aperture and releasing Yosemite. REALLY can't understand how they are still in good conscience charging people for Aperture knowing they made the horrid mistake of killing it and will not be updating it, meaning these people are blowing the better part of $100.

… Update 12:23 PM: Sources speaking to 9to5Mac have indicated Apple will not be holding a late February media event.

I don't see why 9to5 saying they have sources that indicate there is not a media event would override another source saying there is, especially with a company like Apple that works on a tight need-to-know basis.

You could ask the author Jordan Kahn and/or contributor Mark Gurman. Presumably one of their sources needed to know.

Air isn't so special anymore with really thin retina MacBook Pros that have huge battery life. I am curious to see how the differentiate the Air now, though.[/QUOTE]

I am really hoping for hardware innovation, something to really bring back the awe factor. And having a gold colour laptop would be super innovative and differentiate it from the pro line ;)

(just kidding, I would puke)

Reminds me of Santa Claus coming with toys (for big boys). Everyone are just so happy and excited. This was how Apple fans used to be (though smaller size back then).

I just want my Watch. :D

oh ... MR keeps getting my hopes up here.....

It Apple did come out with this "gold" MBA, everyone will be all over it..... I know i'll be :D
