I have to say, I have the app installed on my MBA and I honestly can't see any improvement in my fans. They run at full tilt whenever the mood takes them.
When/how quickly did you receive the registration? I paid two days ago and still haven't gotten it.

I received mine within 10 minutes. You should contact them.
I have contacted them. I sent several polite inquiries to both register@coolbook.se and support@coolbook.se. I've gotten no response whatsoever. Is there any other way to get in touch with the developer? Is anyone in contact with them?
Check with you credit card company, may be your order never went through.
It did. There's nothing amiss on my end -- I've confirmed that the money has been paid. I've checked my spam folder to be sure that any emails didn't go there. I have emailed the developer to inquire about the problem. So far, nothing.
I asked a question to
First name: (as you entered in when purchasing the software)
Last name: (as you entered in when purchasing the software)
Key: (your full email address, in my case at least)[/QUOTE]
This worked. Thanks!

I got the registration info. in less than a minute from the time i finished payment.
I'm surprised a >50% increase in fan speed would have such little effect.
UPDATE:The developer contacted me and sent me the license, so as soon as I can get somewhere that a firewall isn't blocking my registration attempt, I can activate this and try the undervolting setting.
yes it sure is. the mba seems to be relatively stable at 0.9V at 1600MHz, so all is well.
just an update: i've removed 1600MHz and 1400MHz from coolbook under battery use. i noticed that performance difference was pretty minimal for what i do (browse, word, etc.), so i removed those two speeds to save some battery life. i think by making all these adjustments, i got an extra hour of battery life out of my mba! according to my battery indicator, i am at 80% charge with 3:38 remaining.
sure i'll post mine. keep in mind that these settings are tailored to my needs:
Adapter
1600 MHz - 0.9V
Throttling level: High
Temp limit: 85C
Battery
600 MHz 0.9V
700 MHz 0.9V
800 MHz 0.9V
1200 MHz 0.9V
Throttling level: High
Temp limit: 85C
Hi fuzzielitlpanda, your adapter setting is interesting. Since you only have 1 frequency set up, when the temp reaches above 85C during CPUTest, what happens? I mean, what frequency does it throttle down to, and at what voltage?
Did you test that? The dev writes on his productpage that there is only "experimental support" for the MBA. Meaning that you could have the same batterydrain as on the MBP-LED (Santa Rosa).
Have you noticed how much air is acrually pushed out at that 6000 RPM? Almost nothing. When I put my cheek near the air-vents, I almost feel no air flowing out. My ears only pick up the rant. That's probably one of the reasons why the heat never dissipates effectively.
