£299.99 and £329.99 seems fine considering it includes six months wifi and cellular data.

£359 including 6 months of free unlimited data, excellent

They have been taken down by O2. I guess it was a mistake to put them up so early. By it is deffo a good offer with free unlimited data and wifi!
.

FREE unlimited data - only for the for first six months I guess to get you hooked so you end up buying bolt ons after this time

But then £10 a month and if as a bonus you could stop and start at will then this sounds like great value. Option for others may be to get the Cloud Wi-Fi service if they are looking for something cheaper. For my needs this is an excellent combo.

hi, i have gotten stuff at apple .v-bux. com before
and i asked how THEY are able to give the 3G iPhone. here is there response:
"Hi Craig,

My apologizes for the delay in response, here. I had to research this matter quite a bit for you. Here's what I've gathered: “The acquisition of the iPhone will be performed on behalf of V-Bux by its parent company, Vintage Network LLC, through a direct purchase from Apple. Purchasing the iPhone from Apple does not necessitate contractual obligations to any cell phone provider. However, once the iPhone is turned over to the V-Bux user, in order to use the device to its full capacity, he/she may need to pursue enrolling in a service with an affiliate provider - this, however, will remain at the sole discretion of the user."

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Warmly,
V-Bux Support"

The company on ebay apparently has the same power! Good luck :)

Surely in the UK that pretty much covers it?

How many other wifi providers are there?

The big ones are BT Openzone and T-Mobile. Cloud seem to be rare around here (nonexistant in fact) but in some areas some have reported a fair few hotspots.

There's about a zillion smaller/local ones of course.

BT Openzone and T-Mobile have a roaming agreement, but I don't know whether the deal O2 has allows them to use the T-Mobile hotspots. If not that cuts out Starbucks which would be a shame.

To be honest provided you're in an HSPDA area (OK maybe that's a stretch with O2 :p) it's not a big deal.

I have seen loads of Cloud hotspots 'round here.

The BT Openzone and Cloud hotspots - you have to have an account and pay for minutes used - correct?

Not included in the deal with O2 for the iPhone. Just looking for confirmation.

One time I went to Bluewater and there was a hotspot there (cant remember which one it was, there are quite a few) and it said it would give me free access if I done a survey but it asked for my address and everything so I done something like this:

Name: screw
Last name: your
Address line 1: questions
Address line 2: i just
Post code: want my
Age: damn internet!

And it worked and let me in :D

O2 contract price structures are beginning to look more desirable than PAYG, if your intention is to buy the device for data usage.

All the contract tiers from £30 to £75/mo have completely unlimited data, which includes web/e-mail.

R-Fly

The £30 is pretty much never more desirable than PayG. Basic cost of the PayG is £420 (inc. 12 months data plan), and for £30 £639. So you've got £219 in call costs to play with... or to put it another way if you less than £12 a month on PayG call costs (remembering you can get free minutes on the PayG plan as well) then PayG is cheaper.

It works out that for most combinations of minutes that remains true until you hit the price of the £35/mo (£729).

But at the moment were only going on the "leaked" PAYG prices! They may change.:(

Ohh but if you are like me getting;

1200 x-net Mins
Unlimited Data (inc 3g)
1045 texts
Free Voicemail
and discounted rates for overseas calls

...all for £30 per month then i am sure iPhone on Pay & Go is a better deal with the added bonus of not being tied down to an 18 month contract as in less then 12 months Apple are going to release a 'high end' iPhone..skim the market once again and again and again!!

did any1 get the email from o2 about the iphone they still havent anounced the prices :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Theres a lot of this on another thread, but no, i didnt receive an email even though i'd signed up for info for both options, contract and PAYG. But it seems as if CPWH are not going to sell the PAYG on the 11th and there seems confusion (again!) about whether or not O2 or the Apple resellers will. Its all a mess that could have been diverted if they gave us the correct info. 1 week to go and still no one knows what the hell is going on!

I know, it's a bit of a shambles... some tit in the O2 marketing dept probably had the bright idea of trying to withhold information until the last possible minute in a pathetic attempt at Apple secrecy. Of course they failed miserably and only succeeded in causing mass confusion.

I hope whoever it is gets the sack, they obviously cant do there job. If i was that bad at my job i wouldnt last 2 minutes!

I just got an email from the Carphone Warehouse and apparently:

"Please note, iPhone 3G is initially available on pay monthly contract only."

Looks like there will be a wait for Pay As You Go, but I wonder if it means only at the Carphone Warehouse or at O2 and Apple Stores as well? I won't have enough money to buy one for a while, so it won't really affect me.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: o2 have said to let pay and go wait till christmas:mad:

I called o2 and after 7 minutes of horrible torture of their theme tune, i got in, and he said that they have had massive demand for the iPhone 3g, and he doesn't know fully if the iPhone 3g will be out on the 11th. He said that the stocks had been dried up and pay monthly customers are to blame
I'm personally upset, but we would.. sorry for being a pessimist, MIGHT all have to wait a month or so to get the beautiful phone.

Just to let you all in,
iYellow :)

payg sims for version 1 iphone

My friend is giving me his iphone and i want it payg...so iv been in my local 02 shop every week pestering them for answers as how and when i'll get a iphone sim!... today they finally had an answer for me. when i get my iphone on friday i am to bring in the phone and i will get the iphone sim (which is in their shop at the minute) It will be different from other sims as it wil have the iphone features on it [whatever that means] Anyway he said if i take a new number i get 6months free data as long as i topup by 10pound a month. This will of course take over from the 300free texts offer some people avail of. Looking forward to making my new baby payg on friday without having to unlock her :D xxx:apple:;)

If this really works, I would be very tempted to actually get an old iPhone rather than wait for the 3G version to become available on Pay As You Go.
