1.1.4 is available... Downloading now!

Installed and running on 1.1.4 now. I'm in the "bugs fixes plus SDK/iTunes app download support" camp...especially given the late-February timing of this update.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

No, i think that update is stored on your computer. Also i think once an iPod has that update there's no way to tell if it was bought with it or added later. So i think you can sync as many iPods with that update as you want

Unofficial 3rd Party applications are replaced every update, because every iPhone/Touch update replaces the whole OS.

Jailbreak still works on 1.1.4. At least, the ZiPhone one works.
 
I don't think the Starbucks closure has anything to do with Apple. They're just retraining their employees.
 
They like to brag they are providing the 'real' internet on the iphone, but they are not. When half the sites you visit either use flash or WMV media and you can't enjoy it on the iphone...that's not the real internet. Now I don't expect them to support just any technology that comes along...but hey...flash and WMV, not to mention non-streaming quicktime movies?
 
I logged a bug that I'm hoping was fixed. If your country participates in Daylight Savings Time, clear our all calendar events on March 9th and 10th. Then create a new all-day event on the 9th. In month view, it looks like something is taking place on the 10th as well.

i would hold off for more testing. Looks like Ziphone works on 1.1.4. By upgrading you overwrite your old OS with the new one meaning you will lose your current jailbreak and all applications you have installed. Your music, videos and pictures should survive the upgrade, sync with itunes once before upgrading to 1.1.4 to make sure.

1.you will have to re-jailbreak 1.1.4 and install what you have installed with installer.
2.I wouldnt worry about bricking you phone in this situation.
3. i would wait to make sure that the jailbreaking method works with 1.1.4 before upgrading
 
The Safari Bug - Where when you have multiple pages open, the others you're not looking at go to a white screen, seems to have been fixed.... I'm testing it a little more now, but so far so good.

My camera seems to be much better as well. Before the frame rate sucked, if you put your hand in front of the camera, the picture would shutter if you moved it....but not anymore. It acts very smooth now, prefect for recording video:cool:

Duh, it signals that apps are coming. I don't want to use it...I want to know that someone is finally working on some sweet native apps that I will inevitably get my hands on. :D
 
Geez, just give us the SDk already. I want to buy a Slingbox SO bad, especially if I can watch on my iPhone! :)
 
Sticking to my trusty 1.12 until I can purchase Slingplayer client for my iPod touch :rolleyes:
 
Just updated mine. Sim locked O2 phone which had been ziphone jailbroken. The camera is DEFINITELY much smoother - the output is a much higher frame rate.

I can confirm the camera appears to be much better now!

I'm thinking that since the SDK is going to be late, they're giving out this update so people can at least have the bug fixes early. Possibly there's something hidden in the code that allows for the apps to be installed, but we'll have to wait until someone can sift through and find out.

Am loving better camera though! :D
 
I think this means one of the two...
-SDK is coming in the day or two
-SDK isn't coming for the next few weeks

But I'll gladly take any update. Updating now!
 
Notice the option to select a carrier under the Settings page...is that new? I don't remember that.

Yup, this bug has definitely been fixed.
