Thanks @philgxxd. What seemed like a trivial task proved to be a learning experience.

In web development, I would allow for approx 3x the estimated hours per job. I would say that in Cocoa Programming, it's more like 6x. I initially allowed 5 hours for it as a side project (distraction) this week. But, it turned out to be basically all I did Wed to Fri

Please let me know if anyone needs help with the tool.

So, just for confirmation, is Leopard Rebirth done? Is that it?

@SourceSunTom If you’d like to open source your apps on github, I’m sure there would be contributors willing to pitch in.

I think it would be good to make the helper apps (dockrebirth, ppcstore and the unreleased launchpad) as standalone, instead of coupling them with system level mods. That way anyone could use your apps without needing to re-skin the os.

I don't know if I'll open source all of my apps but why not.
Btw PPCStore is also available without LeopardRebirth http://leopardrebirth.net/ppcstore/

It's not finished, I'm just having a break.

Btw if I ever make PPCStore OpenSource, it will need a recode before xD

Yes, sharing your source means revealing how hacked together things can get. It can be a good test of refinement and refactoring!

Knowing that others will see your code is also a good prompter during development to make that extra effort to work in features mindfully and not just slip in a quick fix/hack just for the sake of making things work.

Is this how it looks after you’ve installed LeopardRebirth or after uninstalling and trying to return to the default look?

After LeopardRebirth finishes installing you must reenter your password in a window, it seems like you didn't do that.

    Go to your HHD>System>Library>CoreServices
and open the LeopardRebirth installer app
Then enter your password and reboot

Btw @AphoticD, i won't be able to use your blur technique you showed, as the blur generated has transparent borders, it really doesn't look good

I have done this but see for myself, it is a superposition. I've also deleted the resource and replaced with the original but even that had no success.

I have optimized my system perfectly and would not want to do anything new again. is there no other chance to correct the error?

I don't know, i'm slowly loosing my motivation for this theme, i feel like the theme user base is slowly dying :(
I'm working on other projects/jobs and don't have much time to continue the theme.

I'm not saying i'm stopping making it, but they may be no updates for a while...

I will say this, I have your theme installed on each and every Leopard-running PPC Mac I own. Your hard work and dedication took the project beyond what Gavin, Blake, and I had even imagined being possible. I know there were rough waters between our team and your team as we had anticipated releasing our theme only days after you released yours, but in the long run, it was the right call to let someone with your skill and talent to have made the theme. Do we agree with every single thing you’ve done, not exactly, but one thing we can agree on is the fact that the theme does its job of making Leopard look like High Sierra.
I know that it seems like interest is dwindling, but that’s ok, people like the theme as it is for doing its job. I say all that needs to be done to this theme is to just fix some minor bugs and it will be perfect. No need for new features, redesigns, or anything other than bug fixes. If you want to add more features, you can release standalone features through Leopard Market for people to install if they so choose to. Ignore those who clamor for constant updates. I can even see what else you could possibly update other than bug fixes.

I’ve said it many times, but I’ll say it once more, thank you once again SST for your hard work and dedication to this project and your influence on the PowerPC Enthusiast community.

I second Gamer. Release a few bug fixes, perhaps a polish or two... Maybe a couple additional icons...;) But for the love of God, an UNINSTALLER. PLEASE. Aphotic's requires you to already have a backup of certain files present.

If it were my theme, I'd bang those out releasing 1.3, and abandon it. Done.

LeopardRebirth Remover is distributed with all of the required files needed to restore without a backup. I also provided the option to restore from your own backup if preferred.

My reasoning behind this option was that some people might not feel comfortable installing system resources from a non-Apple source.

In hindsight however, if you have installed LeopardRebirth, you already have.
